Over the last few months we have used the 'highest DKP' system which is a nice system as it is simple to apply, but it does rely on members recognising when it is better to pass on an item for someone else. Over this period we have seen several heated arguments in the forums and several members leave over loot issues. The Field Marshalls have decided that this situation is likely to continue unless we investigate some changes to the current system and have recently completed a lengthy reevaluation of the current loot system and the alternatives.
As a result of this reevaluation we have agreed on trialing a new loot system for both RG1 and RG2 which works with priorities, then DKP. This priority list can be viewed at www.wow-loot.com (http://www.wow-loot.com/) and this site lists all drops in all instances with a set priority for the different classes, including those classes who could play different talent trees (ie druid, warrior and paladin).
This system will be trialed for a month and will start with effect Thursday 26th October 2006. After this month we will evaluate the performance of this particular system and any feedback you have submitted and make a longer term decision.
As you can see from the loot priority list each member needs to be identified in a specific role for the system to work. Hence we are asking ALL members to state their classification in this post. This is absolutely essential for the dual role classes, but not essential for those classes with only one classification.
Please state your classification from the following list, your choice will determine your loot priority. If a member has not posted in this thread then the default category will be applied to their loot priority until such time as they post here in this thread to the contrary. Your choice will remain for the duration of the month trial. If the system persists beyond that then you will have an opportunity to elect to change your classification by PM prior to the end of the month, with any such change in classification taking effect from the 1st day of the following month.

Goodjob on this marshalls...:yahoo:
More happy people, better motivated people......this could be a win win situation.
Gallahan (DPS), btw was looking through the loot priority site and i couldnt seem to find the Quickstrike ring in MC on that list, correct me if im wrong.
Soupastar (Feral)
I always have loved to be feral specced, but i don't mind healing either. But tbh i would pick feral over resto spec any day. In the end i will pick whats needed to the group most. If i need to go healing, i will. Hoping to be able to gather some feral gear along the way anyways.
Incentos - rogue - sword

I am mage then. I will go the dps way :D
Considering the fact that paladins can never actualy use there "hybrid ablities"in the raid due to blizzards demand on healing
i will go for the healadin priority

We have tested the loot priority system over the last month and taken a lot of feedback from members on both the positive and negative aspects of the system. The officers (both FMs & Ms) will now consider the feedback, the effectiveness of the system and its practical administration and come to some conclusions as to its effectiveness as compared to alternatives.
The officers will post the results of their discussion in the next week (Vargen is currently away until the weekend) and will detail the agreed loot system for the all raid groups.
In the mean time, the loot priority trial is over and until the officer announcement is made as to the selected loot system we will use PURE DKP. We would urge all members to think carefully during this week of Pure DKP loot as to which items would most benefit them and then raid and to pass where appropriate.
