Title: Shaman
Post by: Luminance on November 06, 2006, 12:12:13 PM
There will be shamans so maybe make a shaman thread?

And i wanna discuss shaman talents, since i wanna play shaman again as dreanei and i'm kinda rusty since i haven't played shaman since november/december last year when i quited wow.

ok maybe its easy cus imo this is best for raid healer (http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/underdev/burningcrusade/shaman/talents.html?0000000000000000000000000000000000000000055205351355313511321)
but what would be a nice build for a pvp/evp shaman?

Best PvP Shaman is 0/30/21. Ns ftw!

Elemental is : 30/0/21, pretty straight forward build. Natures swiftness is a must in every specc imo. And kickass for soloing, if you have a healer you could take 16/35/0 or 0/35/16

Personally I am 33/0/18. Basically, max reduced heal time and mana cost on heals, max increased chance to avoid interruption on heals, and max reduced threat for heal spells (tho I am almost entirely PvE. If I was PvP i'd probably drop those 3 in Elemental somewere, or *maybe* somewhere else in Resto). The rest gets pumped into Elemental Combat. I like my high guaranteed crits, that cost 0 mana :D

Used it to good effect in Scholo the other day. Worked with a Dr00d as a tank/heal tag team. I activate Elemental Mastery, he goes Bearform and runs in to fight (he was Resto spec entirely tho. It woulda worked even better if he was part resto and part tank), I heal until on 0 mana, then hit his mob with a crit Earth Shock, which has a high aggro gain *anyway*, so I gain aggro, run in, start tanking, and leave him to shift to caster form and start healing.

Admittedly Dr00ds are better tanks in bearform than Shammies, but we had no healing otherwise.

I have thought about making a shammy, would really benefit a raid in many ways.

Moved this thread into the Shamen section.  No idea why it was posted in the Class Forums level
