Title: Eranikus
Post by: TeaLeaf on November 25, 2006, 10:46:43 PM
Web snippets (incomplete)

Remulos and the troll summoned the evil dragon and after a brief hiccup the two guilds scoured the town for shades, swiftly finding them and dispatching them. Delighted to find that he had dedicated healers the troll hurled himself into battle desperately trying not to get pvp enabled so that Thunderfury would not attempt to debuff the whole of Mythical Honour. Eranikus was dual tanked by a fearless orc warrior and Remulos with Tyrande spamming massive heals. As Eranikus approached death he called out for redemption and was forgiven by Tyrande and Remulos. The fight was over. The bloodfueled Umbrage members, surrounded by cheering Alliance players, felt cheated of blood and desperately searched for something to kill. As one their eyes lit on a tiny figure that reminded them of the evil Dr Weavil. Barely pausing for breath the whole raid drew their weapons and dismembered the offending gnome. Strangely the cheering from the alliance got even louder...........

It appears two people can be on the quest at the same time as when Luna accepted the quest on the trial summon last night I got a click box asking me if I would also like to start the quest at the same time.  Not sure if any item drops, I don't think it does, so we will probably only need one kill.

Shades in all buildings and paths in Moonglade, but not on grass areas at sides of buildings.
Shadow bolt volley from shades - 500 damage but sporadic as some videos people suffered lots, others hardly any visible - shadowbolt volley seemed higher probability when shades grouped up
Bigger shadowbolt volley from Eranikus when landed - seemed directional in some videos (mainly frontal 180 degree), but not in others, need to check further.
Eranikus shadowbolt volley on 30 second timer
You can avoid shadowbolt volley using LOS (ie get into the building behind him)
When shades down Eranikus tanked on bridge, face him away from raid.
Keeper Remulos tanks alongside MT1 in final chunk
Basic tanking job when he lands.

Green glow near Eranikus head - ?nature damage (shade of eranikus does corrosive acid like the other world dragons) in addition to the shadowbolt volley?

OOC rezzers?

i think we do only need 1 kill since we do not need to loot it at the end.
After he is good again he gives the shard to keeper remulos hence i asume we can complete it at the same time:).

Some tacs from wowwiki.

Have the raid split into 3 groups of healers and placed in the long house where Remulos stands. Warriors, Melee are to stand near Remulos. During this battle, the objective is keep Remulos alive. He himself can tank a good number of the Nightmare shades. Warriors are to taunt and drag the shades away from the healer group and back to Remulos so they do not get shadowbolted. Druids should heal Remulos, other classes on the raid.
When Tyrande appears the entire raid can move out and full DPS on Eranikus, all heals should now go to Remulos. If anyone is taking damage, Tyrande will periodically cast "Mass Healing" that can heal the entire raid for about 2000 a tick. Melee should avoid getting breathed on
