Title: RCONGUI for dMw admins
Post by: Whitey on November 26, 2006, 11:59:47 AM
I've been playing around with RCONGUI over the last few weeks.  It's a client plugin for Source that allows you to run commands from a gui.  It replaces the screen where you would normally select the team you want to join (see screen shot).

You can get the dMw customised version  here (http://www.btinternet.com/%7Esrw_white/dMw/Whitey_rcongui.zip)
Password in zip: d3adm3n

The file should be extracted to "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\[Your Username]\counter-strike source\"

It has the rcon password in the configuration files but I can post a new version of the script when the password changes.
This should make match administration easier.

Very nice. Is there a command to bring it up or does it come up everytime you change team (or only at map change).

I think this is due to the STEAM "update". Mine is the same way after their "upgrade".

Yup, Valve have managed to pee off most of the mod community with the last update.

Ahh that'll be why such cmds as showfps - join server etc are FUBAR'ed.

Steam, honestly, pffffff - should change their name to 'Steaming P.O.S.'

The link in first post updated.  The zip is now password protected and I have removed the rcon_password variable as most/all options that needed it, have been changed to use the SourceMod command sm_rcon.  Anyone who doesn't have rcongui at the moment should use this release.  It may also be worth installing for those using the old release who don't have the rcon password set in their config.

I've made some updates to the main menu file, please replace the one in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\your account\counter-strike source\cstrike\resource\ui\This should allow the 3rrl and ED config options to work.

FWIW - I can not use the add t or add ct option in that interface. Nothing happens. I can however dis- and enable bots in general. I use the other menu for that.

You need to have rcon access for those to work.

Okay. Interesting, I thought that since I can dis- and enable bots overall I figured a minor function such as add or remove individual bots would be okay but hey ho :)

You enable and disable Bots using a CVAR (bot_quota) and the public admins have that access level.  Adding and removing individual bots through RCONGUI uses a command that needs RCON access.

I'll see if I can find another way of doing it using Sourcemod commands. :)

I've googled for a CS:GO version but can only find german sites which I don't understand.
Any idea whether we could have this for GO?
