I've spent an enjoyable couple of days getting an eight year old game to work and it has been something of a challenge! Trawling through RSC's billion or so posts on GPL has been a :boxing: but in the end I've got it going pretty well. :D

Anyone else got this oldy but goody?

i have it installed and play it reguraly, and now that i got a logitech pro of me m8 for Â£30 (he bought the new logitech wheel:worship: ) its really cool

i use his mod to update eveything

althou you still need to install original patch

Or...Try the 'all in one patch' (http://www.finnglish.co.uk/Stuff/gpl1202full.zip)This brings it up to 1.2.0.2 in one hit in the correct order. Wish I found this one first. :doh:

You'll still need/want the 1965 mod though.

Do you play it online Sulky? I've not got that far yet. When I can consistently lap without falling off I'll go for it.

go to m8s houses and play with 3 other racer(no pun intended), the nak with the game is

not to brake to hard (results in spin)
and dont floor the throttle..(results in spin just like gtl)
and if your auto clutching take your foot of the gas as you change gear as you also spin:norty:

Its a cracking game which I have played on / off since I bought it the day it came out all those years ago.

With all the updates on etc, it looks pretty good considering its age and its still pretty good to play. As Sulky_uk says you do need to be very gentle with the controls.

I need to fix a liitle problem with mine, as its currently only plays in slow motion !!, fps is fine so a weird problem.

I'll maybe see you online some time :D
