It is the documentary by Michael Moore that won an Oscar. It is about the amount of guns in the US and how easy you can get them, but also what is wrong with the country to have such high murder rates.

It is running at the cinemas here at least ...

.
I'm a Canadian.  A LEFT WING Canadian (not about everything, but in general).  And even I must point out that Michael Moore uses outright distortions of the truth and falsehoods in his arguments.

He's *so* bad that there is no sane person who would try and refer to anything Michael Moore has done as "support" for a given position.  He just goes way way way too far overboard with trying to support his own positions (which in and of themselves may be perfectly reasonable - aka pro gun control) - to the point that I would oppose anyone who attempted to refer to a Michael Moore reference to support positions that I myself support.

The following reference is a little heavy-handed about defending the NRA (I don't like the NRA), but in general it does document *some* of the problems with this movie.

Even many of the comparisons in Bowling with Canada wrt guns and gun control misrepresent the circumstances or utterly ignore basic logic and alternatives - stuff similar to logical fallicies like confusing "coincidental" and "causative".

Cheers,
