QuoteThe epic flying mount requires riding skill 300 and costs 180G. Riding skill 300 costs 5000G and requires you to have riding skill 225.
5000g!!!
I managed twice to have 1000g+, so 5000g seems a hell of alot of cash to me. Hope the cashflow in tbc will be a bit better then now, otherwise i would have to grind 6 months or so to get that :(
Only 3k more than I thought.. Ah well.. Im sure somebody have already started the grinding and will get it the moment they hit lvl 70.. And some will prolly buy gold on the internet.. tsk tsk..
i imagine you will make more money at level 70 maybe mobs will drop gold in stead of silver :)
As far as I am aware it is relatively common on the beta servers for a L70 to have 8,000G or so. Allegedly. So the price is not excessive.
TL.
I still fear the gold farmers will be having a very jolly Xmas. I thought the idea of TBC was to get rid of the whole endless grinding for any decent bit of armour, mount, weapon or PvP level? But if, as TL says, we will all be rich beyond our wildest dreams then maybe it won't be so bad.
Well I don't actually mind having to grind for gear, as long as you don't have to dedicate every hour of your day to pvp or raiding..
If the part of grinding for your gear is taken away, then what is there to do when you hit lvl 70? if its too easy the game will loose part of the fun in it.. Getting everything you want and need at lvl 70 too quick will probably make you loose interrest in the game..
And at the mount thingy: ye the things at the end of the game will most likely be a lot more worth than the average drop we have now at lvl 50-60, but as smilodon said, the gold-sellers will probably profit from it right before TBC and in the beginning.. Or atleast thats what I can imagine
I agree there should be stuff for Lv 70's to do. But mindless grinding for crypt feind bits or ten gazzilion bits of cloth isn't my idea of fun. The raiding for armour sets is fine, but when you simply need to raise a lot of cash for a mount etc. then there should be something more interesting that slaughtering Scarlet Crusaders at Tyr's Hand. Maybe more coin should drop in the dungeons or there should be some more advanced and interesting professions/crafting. I know Blizzard will not look at any of this but I'm not lookig forward to another epic mount grind.
True that.. That kinda grinding where you need some rather crazy amount of stuff with not too good droprates are not that fun in lengths..
Anyways.. Im counting on winning the secret WoW lottery and receive 6 BoU lvl 300 riding skill 'Flying for dummies' books where I can sell 5 of em for like 2-3k gold :D
EDIT: just to let some of ya know.. The last part probably can't be done.. just my mind wandering off talking loud before I could restrain it..
Im guessing lvl 68-70 mobs will drop at least 1G per mob. Now im killing lvl 61 Fel Boars outside Honor Hold and Blood Orc. Blood orcs at lvl 58-60 drop from 60-80 silver per kill. and if you are rested. They give around 900-1100 XP per kill
All the people i know that play TBC test realm fun stuff thats reached lvl 70, say that you really need to be a Futard with money if you are less then 7-8k.... people tend to be around 8-10k at lvl 70...
Sounds great :D
I was wondering.. Do pallies and locks get a mount quest as with the two first mounts? or do they have to buy an ordinary one?
And a bit off-topic.. What does a Belf Pally get? Do they have quests aswell and get the same mount as human/dorf pally?

Or just not a hardcore player? I've been 60 for about the past 2 months (about 4 days actual played time) and I cannot be arsed to grind for my epic mount, i'm just building up cash gradually. I've currently got about 300g.
i know that feelin.
I have 8 days pld at lvl 60, currently at 800g havnt been saving for all those 8 days tho.

From where do you have this info?
Or is it just another rumour?
