well.. At least on our banner eh?
Now get back in the sun for your your Pinacolade at the pool....:D
I've suffered several total browser failures in Firefox with this banner so have removed all extensions to see if this fixes it. I like the festive look, so I'm hoping that this will fix the issue for me. If anyone else has the same problem (and I have only been using extensions lauded by people on these forums) then the solution might be to uninstall them like I have.
TL.
I've had the same problem so I used adblock to stop it from showing.
I've had the problem too, couldn't navigate on the site at all and took ages to load. I've used Adblock as well.
I had firefox crash once yesterday when I navigated to the forums but dunno if that was what it was :) been going fine since!
I am using Firefox and have no problems at all. But I am also not using any extensions, so a clean Firefox should do the trick.
BRrrrrRRRRR
Chilly
Using FF2 with loads of extensions and no probs at all. Extensions loaded are:
Adblock 0.5.3.43
DOM Inspector 1.8.1
Fasterfox 2.0.0
Fission 0.8.6
Flashgot 0.5.97.02
IE Tab 1.2.0.20061120
IE View 1.3.1
Talkback 2.0
I have NOT used adblock to block the snow scene and it is absolutely fine.
Theme in use is Qute 3.2.2
I had no prblems at all and I'm using firefox like you, the only difference is that I have no extentions.

PDF Download
Talkback
Have been using the snow applet for two years now on another site and never had any problems or any reports of problems.
However, it's only a bit of festive fun so if you are getting issues with it then it can go.
FF crashed for me on this site several times yesterday, and just now when I clicked on the banner.
no big deal...and v. pretty, especially when you move the cursor over it
No problems here except the yellowish panel on th top that pops up every time I go into a thread or out or whatever, and tells me to install the missing plug-in to see the snow.. Which I can't due to the fact that I have no admin-powers whatsoever on this computer (at work :)).. bugger.. I can't even see the snow
Well last year we had closed roads in holland, but i guess you could easy walk down the beach atm (not in swimming suit ofc), still is 15 degrees or so ^^
Anyways, i like the snowy touch :)
(firefox ftw :P)
Bah, humbug.
Adblock FTW. :yahoo:
It's fine on my home PC which is running the same plugins as work :g:

Could it be the theme you use?
I got nine inches (fnarr) last week, and it's not been above freezing since. Brr!

hehehe, scrooge :D
I have had severe difficulties since the snow was installed. Thought the plugins were causing the problem but it may just be my PC. If I try to exit WoW with a FF window open it hangs my screen. Voice comms via TS still works, I just cannot click anythign on-screen. I have to shut down FF before existing WOW. Wierd. I've uninstalled all plugins and this does not seem to have helped.
Only one thing for it - have to buy a new computer....../scurries off to look at 680i motherboards and an nVidia 8800 :norty:
TL.
lol! Any excuse for a new computer eh? :D
well he has been jump starting it with a screwdriver for the last year. I think he may deserve it!
