Noob question, but do you really have to download each of the 20-100 files per addon or can you do it faster?

Cuz i have now 4 mods wich took me 30 min to download

If you use an ftp-client instead of browsing the folders through IE/FireFox/etc, you'll have many good and easy options to download several files/folders in one go.

You can try out SmartFTP (http://www.smartftp.com/) for instance, it's good and free :)

Several addons update like a fairly working CTRA version...
Ill keep the ftp running for the rest of the day i guess then the load on Cursed and Ui.worldofwarcraft should drop to fair lvl's again :P

Btw, all that fuzz we had some time about, about all those addons with key-loggers and other nastsy stuff, has that  just disappeared?

Do I also remember correct that Blizzard now has made it so that it won't be possible for addons to e.g. steal your account name and password?  Or is that still yet to be implemented?

Dunno, but the TBC closed beta client does have a Trojan checker when you start it. So I'm guessing not yet.

The loader helps against trojans AFAIK.

The problems with hijacking etc. will always be there if you dont use your head. Like downloading addons that runs .exe files and so on

The Blizzard loader is supposed to be helping with hijacking, but i wouldnt trust Blizzard to implement security features that would solve all problems. Im gonna take my security measures, and they can take theirs :)

The hijacking issues with the addons pages Cursed gaming and ui.worldofwarcraft was not that files contained hijacking software, but that the banners/ads on the sites were the issue..
A small segment of code in the ads, which contained the hijack software, was being downloaded as cache data to peoples harddrives...
ui.worldwarcraft said that they had fixed their site.. never heard anything from cursed gaming tho...

But lately a new source of the hijack softare has been spreading through AQDKP sites..
But this issue is now fixed if the dkp sites are updated to 1.3.1+

Note about files on ftp: I can assure you that the ftp has no viruses, my server which runs the ftp has 3 Anti virus softwares running, 2 anti spyware/malware, and 4 firewalls... just to prevent that people do not get viruses and stuff from it :)
