Over the last few nights you may have noticed some uncharacteristic lag on both the Homer and Baldric servers. The good news is that those 733t boys at Crosswired have tracked down the problem and with the aid of Smite and a Morris Minor (trust me, don't ask) have got it fixed. Basically it was someone else's fault - someone who got hacked and 'used'. :(
The Admins would like to thank both Doggers & Stryker who both spent a heap load of their Easter weekend sorting out that person's problem, to make sure that it no longer caused Crosswired (and MeatHook PCS) any problems.
Good job Crosswired! u r teh w0n :jester:
Anyway, normal service is resumed

We *may* take on a third bandwidth feed too in the coming months.
flaming students, its was def a student hack on the customer server cos they had installed a search engine looking for stuff to download including "mp3, porn, free, tits, w**k" so it had to be students :-)
