Fellow Priests,
I would like to know how you look at the holy/disc tree with the new patch and the 41 point talents. I lately hear a lot of grumbling so if you hate or love it plz gimme some feedback here.
My personal opinion is that we have been (insert very nasty word here) royally. I think priests can go afk now since i get the feeling we are getting utter useless with what other classes have gotten. If blizz continues this i do not see any reason to continue playing my priests as it is now.

I think the new patch with all the changes and TBC soon realesing the priest is gone be a class that are more or less fill out in raids.
I went for the excact same specc i had before the patch since i dont find any of the new talents very usefull atm and to get an extra 10 talent points in just to pick some useless talents are not what i had in mind when Blizzard realesed this patch and TBC.
I play the priest becuse its a fun and awsome class to play bu this have changed alot the past few days.

Only new thing I find a bit handy is the Holy Concentration so at 70 is will be something like this:

I tried holy concentration, and the proc rate was abysmall for me. I rather have more mana and the 15% mana regen from the disc tree.

Isn't that circle of healing handy in situations like the trashmobs of the twins?
(and there are quit some other boss/mob fights where u'll have to stand close as a party the nxt couple instances)
Or is there allready a better spell with less mana per healing point?
and i have to agree, the best heals i got since the patch where walkingtrees :(
I can see uses for the circle of healing but due to the low amoun t it heals (400-500) is that usefull when you get hit for 1.5K?

i feel exactly the same as lunares on this, it seems that we (priests) could quite happily go and make a campfire and talk about how Gnomes like to eat toenails over a nice cup of tea, being easily Well outhealed by everyone and his dog apart from mages : ).
feel free to argue but i think every priest would like to try shadow at the moment and given our old powers waning its about time to let us at least experience the dark side, within the raid there is more than enuff room for shadow power i think.
Holy Concentration seems to be bugged or simly not worth it due to rediculously low ACTUAL proc rate (far less then 6% as it should be if u spend 3 talent points) . :ranting2:

And yes priests got shafted since all other healing classes got buffed and our new talents either arent working, or are not worth it like Circle of healing (since u cant get meditation until TBC if u pick it up) or are basically nice but only for buffs (Imroved Divine Spirit)

Lemme Start by one of the major's how do you priests heal?
in a raid (fight) im using 3 spell's:
Greater Heal (Rank 1)
Renew (max rank)
PW:F Shield
Why GHr1? Because that havent been nerfed with the new healing calculation, and on the other hand, i can heal for an almost infinite amount with buffing. and it hits for like 1700, and atm im getting the HoT as a bonus. meanwhile GHr1 takes 2.5 sec to cast (if you spec for reduced cast time) so youre regen rate, with 3/3 in meditation is fairly high, (with 3 pieces T-2 im hitting around 100 per tick in 5 sec rule)
Renew, in order to support the less frequently hitted players, like Mages, Locks other healers etc. Max rank isnt that much a problem anymore because it now stacks. a lower rank might work.
PW:F Shield, in order to cap off the sudden emergency blows on MT and self especially.
Thats only now, with higher lvl im getting a Mana regen pet, for longer durability. Furthermore, im strenghtning my specc, by more Healing done and Mana Pool.
My point is, i can outheal any class but priests in raids! and i would like to challenge anyone, in BWL. (were talking effective healing here, OOC, and ill not even be on top with Overheal)
If i ca do it, so can the rest. I know druids have been buffed greatly... yes but thats in the HoT part mainly.
Besides my new specc allows for more DPS, so i can play solo/for my self for better. even in healing gear due to 5/5 Spiritual Focus

i would really like to play a shadow priest as that is how i like to play.
we have nothing to lose by trying it and if you like playin holy then kool and the gang.
i would like to try and see if it could add to the raid, or if its crap then fine ill shut up and forever hold my mouth but i would like the option to try it

Respec shadow then? fine by me, if you really mean to respec if its crap.
