Mine seems a bit slicker after the install.

cool, they've released it at last. I think this is the patch that used to be available only if you contacted them.

I've got this on a USB stick downstairs, but I'm too lazy to fetch it so I'll download it again.

well its a know fact that fact that windows sucks at core balancing.. :P
I saw some progs when i got my first Dual core cpu, that showed which core was running each proces.. and windows does this really odd... flipping several processes back and forth for no reason at all..

I use something called Seesaw and some other small extensions to manually designate what process runs on what core..

for example, while i run wow, my core2 is running no other process then WoW.exe and Core1 run Windows and 3rd party program processes..
works like a charm for me :D

But i might have a look at this one, seems to work with some throttling power issues instead of just resource balancing in general :)

I passed this on to a few people this morning. First response was immediate: "thanks so much for this dual-core tip â€" it’s done wonders on my Gateway tablet.  Boot-up time is at least a third faster, maybe half.  I’ll let you know if the improvements keep up.".

Result - thanks blueball!
