Our cat passed away during the night. Sad but not unexpected. She was 17½ years old so she had a good innings. :)

Sad to hear. My cat is same age and we're just waiting for him to drop off too (still plays like a kitten though)

I'm sorry for your loss Ron :(

Albert Sweitzer said: There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats.

Hope can keep all those good memories with you :)

Aww, too bad Ron, it's always bad to lose a pet you've had for so long.

Our cat disappeared about 2 months back. We put out posters and such, but no joy. We still don't know if he went away quietly to die somewhere, got hit by a car, or just found a family who fed him better than we did (though towards the end he was disappearing more and more often and we had to keep going and finding him, so we had started to feed him his favourite dish - pure tuna, once a day, in an attempt to get him to stay).

It's sad to seem then decline but a positive when they finally go. Same for people too.

Thank you one and all. She's now making herself useful by fertilising the garden. :)

I'll close the thread before I get flamed as a heartless barsteward.
