I have been on the look-out for a new laptop for a while and in january I will order one. Mobility is key for me since I travel a lot with it.
My criteria are 1) as small as possible 2) as low weight as possible 3) 6.5+ hours of battery life, preferrably 8 hrs. My current choice is this Lenovo X60s with the 5200MAh battery. (http://www.edbpriser.dk/Products/Listprices.asp?ID=251629) The battery increases the weight from 1,3 to 1,6kg but the battery life is estimated at 8 hours. I am quite keen on dual core, since I tend to run quite a few programs at the same time and being an ol' dual processor user I would like to get that back to that... I use an IBM/Lenovo at work and really like the robustness and the keyboard layout in the IBM's.
What do you think of my choice? And how cheap can you get than in the UK? Here it is sold for the equivalent of £ 995.
Also, there are many laptops in the UK which are not available in Denmark. For instance the Sony VAIO's are not available here so I was wondering if you guys could tell me a bit about them? I've heard they get quite hot in general. I am keeping the option open on one of those since they go as low as 10" screens which would be fine with me, even with an english keyboard layout...
