Title: Draft SOG and TBC
Post by: Bastet on December 26, 2006, 09:55:36 PM
In an attempt to make the plans for SOG and TBC a bit more clear, here is the "battle plan" as concived by the Field Marshals.

We realize that currently not everyone is up for raiding anymore, hence we are going to extend the raid break to beyond TBC, and the point where we can venture into new and exciting instances. As some ppl still want to see BWL, and Naxx the FM's will organize sign up raids for those members still wanting to kill all the bosses of old before starting on the new ones.

One exception we hope those that dont want to raid anymore will make is the MC speed run, where we aim to break the world record before the expension of the level cap.

Upon TBC launch we aim to reset the ranking system, as we did with the implementation of the defender/guardian system. At a point beyond that, when we are able to set up a (near) lvl 70 raid group, there will be a raid group that aims to raid on the current raid days RG1 uses, with stronger enforcing of several rules as made evident by feedback from members.

More raid groups will be opend as needed, and balance allows.

As for the names and ranks of these groups, feel free to help the FM's by putting up sujestions that can be used :narnar:

Might not be the right person here...
But it sounds good to me.

I would edit that to show that raid groups will be formed before L70.  Remember some of the pre-requisites to later isntances is the full clearance of earlier instances.  From what I here we ought to be raiding form L62 or so upwards and many of the quest items assume that this kind of raiding will go on with 10 man or 25 man instances.  This would lead to a short period to level to L62, then a scheduled raid form thereon.  If you tell everyone that we will not raid until L70 then a lot will go.

Upon TBC launch we aim to reset the member ranking system, as we did with the original implementation of the defender/guardian system. After that members can choose their preferred group .  The new raids will aim to raid on the current raid days RG1 uses, with stronger enforcement of several rules as made evident by feedback from members.
