As you know, we have for some time been requesting registered WONIDs only for Ladder/League matches and as Baldric only runs VAC, we have been asking for demos as well. We have had a wee problem with the former but I bet the latter has not been done by anyone - and that's the problem, you never know if you will need their demo until it is too late.
With immediate effect any player representing -=[dMw]=- in an official Ladder match must record a demo. We'll assume that they will not have volunteered for the team if they haven't registered there WONID.
How to record a Demo:
It's surprisingly simple, it just involves a couple of console commands.
To start recording: Bring down the console (the tilde key "`" just below your escape button) and type the following:
record XXXXX
Replace XXXXX with the name of the demo file you wish to record. I tend to use the two clan names, prefaced by my player initials and then '1' for the first half and '2' for the second half. So I would type 'record TLdmwbo1ng1' or 'record TLdmw3mc2' etc. The player name bit allows us to differentiate between our demos if we have to send them to the other team.
To stop recording the demo, bring down the console again and type:
stop
Once you have done this, it will put the demo file in your cs directory for you to view or send to someone else.
Demos Bugs & Problems
A fairly common bug is that you start recording a demo and get kicked out of the game by console. This is usually because someone on your team was using voicecom at the time. It is suggested that when you start recording a demo you ask your team to be quiet for say 30 seconds whilst everyone types in console and starts their demos recording.
Extended connection time can also cause a demo file to become corrupt. If you have been connected to the server for 30mins or so then please reconnect prior to starting to record your demo. This will minimise the chance of the demo corrupting.
When a map changes, e.g. at the mid-point in a match, demos often corrupt if you try to record one demo across the two maps. So in a clan match please make sure you record one demo for the first half of the match, then start a new demo for the second half.
The Squad Leaders will try to remind you of this in each match, but they have a lot to do already as they alsoi admin the server for the match, so it would help greatly if you could actively remind them immediately before the start of each match.
Thank you.

A bit of spring cleaning on the forums, so I have un-pinned this now irrelevant post!
