The idea for some weekend custom map nights seems to have gone cold. Is that down to apathy or just that no one likes the idea of having them.
I'd maybe be prepaired to do some leg work getting a night sorted if there was any support for them?

i think you just need to get a map pack/zip on the website and then specify a weekend date. though it may be that the lan will be the next best venue. whoop whoop!

The idea was raised a few months ago. Basically we could have some map nights based on a specific theme. Right now a movie night seems a popular choice. Using movies as an example we select some maps based on films (amazing Sherlock) and maybe some suitable player skins and play through them one evening/weekend. I'm open to suggestions as to the best time for this, but a Saturday or Sunday seems the best idea so we get longer to play through them. People could also dip in and out as they see fit during the day and evening.
We could do Lord of The Rings Nights, Rat-map nights etc. etc. and maybe even a deathmatch night for a giggle. That's about it. If there's enough support (i.e a dozen-ish are interested) I'll sort out a poll or two as to what we could try first.
It seems like a good idea to me Smilo and if you wanted some assistance with looking at maps etc. I usually have some time during the day but I'll leave it to you. 8)
I have mentioned it before. I have 2 CDs with CS maps. Just tell me if you need anything.
The CDs will attend the LAN. :D
This won't happen till after the LAN so I'll peruse a few options and let you know. Probably towards the mid to end of May and then maybe once a month after that, if there's still enthusiasm for it.
Of course some of the themes may not be particularly PCS but I'm working on the theory that one night a month it's just for a bit of fun. Once a theme is picked I'll definately need some advice about what's out there map wise, so thanks in advance to Brass & Sadako :)

Just had a look at these - whats a "KA" map and a "PA" map then :?:
KA is knife arena i believe. Knives only so small maps quite often 1 on 1.
PA I have no idea about so i'm downloading one for a look
PA looks like they have all weapons on the floor like in the fy maps. No buy time just straight into the action
Ka = Knife arena map, all you get is a knife and somtimes armour objective is to kill opposition, fun for a few rounds but many get boring quickly, my favourite is Ka_deagle (and no there aree no deagles, I don't know why).
Pa not sure what it stands for, but if I remember correctly armour and guns at spawn and you can't buy, pick up gun and armour rush at enemy screaming charge and let bullets fly repeat until next map
