Title: Bwl 11.01.07
Post by: Myanmar on January 11, 2007, 01:53:51 AM
There is a good chance I can't attend BWL tonight. When I log on with Mya WoW crashes and I get the bug report thingy.

Made a post on the tech forum but I doubt they can fix it in time (or will care at all).

P.S. If anyone has any tips, I'd appreciate to hear em :) That's the msg:

ERROR #131 (0x85100083) File Corrupt
Program: C:\Games\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
File: World\Maps\Azeroth\Azeroth_34_38.adt

WoWBuild: 6299

Repairtool doesn't help.

I wonder whether someone can send you that file, or you could find it and rename it, then do a repair?

Or just reinstall (make sure u keep your patch files in the wow folder.

Try to run the REPAIR.EXE,

or reinstall WoW but keep the patches that are stored into your World of Warcraft directory.

Also if you have another pc where it works on but the spec of that pc are not that good, try to copy it to your gaming pc.....

I think the best 1st option will be to get some one to send you that specific file.

Ain't all the files on the cd's deliverd with the original game? No need to send it when you all have it.....

Well yes, but the issue is with the main game executable file, which will most certainly have changed for most if not every patch that has ever been released for WoW, so putting the one from the original CDs back over an old install where everything else was patched would just confused the computer even more.

Well the time window there is now, try repair. That ain't working, reinstalled it run every patch or login to WoW and see what he comes up with.....

In the end, REPAIR is the fastest way to get it back to work....

I'm also going to say that use the repair, because my WOW did same looking thing few weeks ago and I was even going to install windows again to get it work :woot2: But I realised that there is a repair tool. It took about 5mins and wow was working again :)

Thanks Mazii, for pointing out that I had already tried the repairtool

KittyGirl, I downloaded the WoW exe from your FTP (thanks for the effort :)) and replaced my old one with it but it didnt do any good.

Now for the 'Just replace the corrupt file' thing. You will not find a file nemed 'File: World\Maps\Azeroth\Azeroth_34_38.adt' anywhere in your WoW folder. I assume it's somewhere in the huge 'common.mpq' file. so replacing just this coruppted file is not possible :(

Thanks for trying though guys, I appreciate it :)
