Title: TBC grinding/uplevel build
Post by: Luminance on January 14, 2007, 06:11:10 PM
Ive been thinkig of a good build for shaman.
When i used to play it, elemental shamans where the strongest, but the restoration/enhancement was the best.
But i got the feeling that a elemental/enhancement is alot stronger now, since they got talents in there own tree that feeds the other.
I've come up with this build:
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/shaman/talents.html?5520015003321030100050250001550013300000000000000000000000000

So i think i'll take this, what do you guys think of it?

It kind of depends on your gear, but for leveling I wouldn't use a mana dependent build, because of the downtime associated with mana usage. I'd go enchancement (http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/shaman/talents.html?5500010500000000000050050301350013353115100000000000000000000) for leveling. Windfury procs like crazy when your dual wielding :norty: . Shamanistic rage is a nice bonus that comes with it.

At 70 I'd switch over to elemental (http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/shaman/talents.html?5500014500021335105100000000000000000000005105301005000000000) (41 elemental / 20 Restoration).

Who here already has a level 60 shammy btw?

my tactics with that build was more lighting bolts on distance, shocks and meelee in close, so thats not really mana dependand :P
(and ofc all the necessary totems)

The question still remain.. What is your shaman called? :narnar:
Or do you plan to keep that a secret so you can play superhero? Your regular name would be Sheepy, and then a secret supershaman runs around saving people under another name, and noone knows who he is :norty:

Which one of them? Sheepeze or Goat? After Lumi revealed Goat there is no reason to hide him anymore :narnar:

That is what I have atm at 67, I was maxed out in enhancement but once I started doing instances NS was too good to pass up. Just grabbing the last 3 points in unleashed rage now.

Of course shammervate would be better for pure grinding, but I find that with watershield and keeping my fingers off the shock buttons I can keep going for quite a while anyways. Do decent damage without shocks. Was grinding some firewing mobs last nite and after about an hour I had an average of 500ish dps, at least that's what recap told me. Lots of clothies there, those are fun :)
