seeing as you all know so much....
I want a nano for no other reason than I can use Nike + with it....anyone got it? Use it? alternatives?
I got an iPod nano (8GB) for Christmas, and the iPod itself, I just love. A beautiful little thing :D
iTunes on the other hand, I'm not that happy about... We've had a pretty good discussion around the topic in this thread (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=17852), so I suggest you read through that a bit for some ideas :)
What is Nike+?
As an alternative I've heard that the sandisk players are very nice - they're not a bad price either due to sandisk claiming to not need an mp3-decoder licence :)
Personally I have no problem with iTunes or my iPod (old 3G one) and incompatability issues are only an issue if you buy DRM-"infected" digital music online from a source other than iTunes. DRM-free mp3s work fine anywhere, so if you don't plan to buy many digitally-encoded tracks online you've no problem other than deciding you dislike the particular media player software, which you then only bother to use for loading tracks onto the iPod (I believe there are open source alternatives by now anyway :))
Not really fussed by the ipod piece, it's more the Nike + piece I want, so I guess I was after an alternative combo - Creative and Gola or sommat...
