Title: Images in EMail
Post by: Penfold on January 17, 2007, 02:48:22 PM
Does anyone know how I can add my logo to emails with them being attached or embedded.

I have seen this done where it's an html link - but an not sure how it's achieved.

Anyone got any idea?

Thanks

Hmm.. Well you can choose a picture if you have gmail, and then the people with your mail can choose if they want to see your picture or one they pick themself, but besides that I can't help you..

You probably want to be creating html based emails, but remember that not everyone uses html-readers as it were, and it depends on the format of the email client I think. Mine only receives text so advertising gumph from play.com etc comes up as a mess of hyperlinks, sometimes with the occasional gif attached. If I view them in a different client then I get the fancy pictures etc. what email client do you use to send?

I view it as html, but with some sanitize/strip filters than sorts out the bad stuff.

Sounds like you want to create yourself a signature there Pen and set your mail options to add it to all items you send.

Thanks guys

I think I sorted it.

What I was planning to do was to creat a signature which had an image. But that images was not sent as an attachment nor as an embedded image with in the email.

I trhink I have solved it by html and keeping the image online - so the image is not being downloaded each time but just linking to the web.

I have tried it in Eudora and Lotus and it seems to work. I'm now going to try it in Outlook.
