It did affected a number of players on the server, any suggestions on a good hostage rescue map to replace it?

kismayo (there are de_ and cs_ versions), but it's playable only if we have 12 or so players, imo.

Quote from: DogMeat;174839Mangled textures.  Yuck.  Can we have it taken out of the mapcycle till there's a fix/proper version available?
played fine for me but Tox had wierd textures...didn't stop him owning though:sideways:

neither did the call from his gf...he played without headphones, with the phone tucked in his chin, for 2 rounds tonight, and still kicked ass...gave a running commentary too, cocky git:sad:

Sometimes texture ills can be a simple(!) restart of Steam or even the pc to make sure it refreshes the texture cache. Also double check your texture files - perhaps try re-downloading/installing the map, could fix the texture problems?

I often lose certain letters from the on screen text. For example none of the m's or a's (suicid l_ okney s ys:) will be visible in the scoreboard, ingame chat, etc. Very odd.

I just downloaded the map from fileplanet, installed it and reconnected to the server.

It must be that the maps are downloadable from our server but the textures aren't.

Once I reconnected with the full files installed it looked fine.

That is what GFK found too. Once he re-installed with the correct files it was all nice and purty.

Sorry but do check your teamflashes, both in normal gameplay AND matches...SERIOUS here!!!

If you toss a flash, let your nearby teamm8s known that you're throwing 1!
Because I REALLY got fed up about them...:sideways:

comon guys, ONE team flash and you take all your anger on me? It can't be that I "fed you up" with them, can it?
Besides:
a. I usually DOES say "flash", although the occasional "fire in the hole" is mentioned automatically.
b. ONE team flash in a FUN night and you then throwed flashes at me forever - rest of T team just laughed at it. That was an honest mistake that you took to the edge. It's not like a TK ppl on purpose, you know.
c. The one in the match got us that game (it was from short A). Yours was just non-effective (it happens to all of us ;-) ). Sorry for forgetting to mention it THAT ONCE, but it made no damage to us, personally, or most importantly - as a team. Au Contraire.

Still love you

I think at least 2 tf's on Duv were mine:blush:

it's the tradjectory of the throw that I get wrong, and hit the  ceiling or light fitting and get a flash in my face:sad:

if it's any comfort to you, I stick pins in my leg as penance...and I'm blind too:narnar:

We're all still getting used to the throwing angle and effect of the flash in source.  Used correctly it is a powerfull weapon and can easily win a round for you.  On the other hand, it can get most of your team killed if you throw a bad one.

None of us deliberatly want to flash up our team mates but accidents happen,  we just need to make sure the communications are good and not get hung up on a mistake.  :D

I just wanted to mention: Call it before you throw!
In the match I got blinded several times and Fridaynight a couple of times aswell because people with VC's didn't call it. If someone doesn't have VoiceComms, okay.
Just call them! Like: "Watch it it, flashing short A"...

http://maps.lamas.hu/index.php?dir=cs_maps/&file=cs_backalley2.zip

Download the map from there and install it and it puts all the textures in place as well. End of problem.

Well . . . I do like to give a good flash at my team mates ^^.
Just jokin'. ( But really it's great fun :narnar: )

And yes if you get them right, they work wonders. I tryed Cs: 1.6, But I found it a bit odd and decided not to play on it; The grenades are really hard to use! :woot2:

But i'll keep in mind that I should give some sort of recognition before hand.
