GGs tonight, had about 12 on the server at one point. fallen is an excellent map - my favourite so far. Lots of scope for sneaky and no vehicles required or available - what BF2 should have been all along IMHO :)

When I left around 23:20, there were still 14 or so non-dMw people still on there playing.

Would have been good with AAS as there were enough for some really good battles when we did meet up.

Also pushing out from your base on AAS would be relatively easy because of the amount of armour thats in there on the bigger maps.

BF2 is back after its little rest and fighting strong.

Newsflash:-
Just fired up BF2CC and there are still 7 players on there having fun at 00:33

Did you download POE or Project Reality? Although we have both "flavours" the server is currently running the project reality mod version 0.5 on BF2 version 1.41

spotted them...thought the same:lmfao:

edit:I am really disappointed at the lack of interest in BF2 recently....I'm as guilty though...if it's 2v2 on a big map, then I'll pick Boomer with pubbies every time.

we must promote Monday nights properly...thought's on a postcard please

My first thought is:

Is Monday night the right night? Should we change the night?

I am quite happy to give it another go tonight, I did leave early last night as it was only 2 vs 1 which is not fun.

The main reason people don't join, is because there computer isn't good enough to play it, or they prefer Counter Strike. ( Source or 1.6 Etc... )

I myself prefer Css to Bf2. ( It's because of those evil tank drivers running you over.:ranting2:  )

But for those people that already play it and enjoy it, it may be because of the time/day.
But there will always be someone that can not join because of a time/day. ( You've just gotta get it right I suspose... )

I'm enjoying BF2-Vanilla still. Sometimes POE or such aswell.
I think you're one of them guys who keeps running in the middle of the road infront of tanks and such.
I enjoy the tank alot but there are allways people who keep running infront of them. Especially when the tank is moving fast, there's allways people who cross just before them. In reallife you wouldn't do that.

If I get run over, it's because I was trying to put a bomb on the tank. Not because I am not road aware, or aren't I? ( I'm not ummm, that much of a fool ... )

Perhaps drop back to vanilla with AAS as the user base is greatest.

If it was an easy drop in, I'd be more likely to head back.

I've been off everything for a while, but the main thing that play is CSS, purely as it's a fire up and play. For all the detractors, Steam means I don't have to worry about patches or any of that crap.

I have no idea what PoE is and if it auto chose for me and patched accordingly I'd probably not much care and just turn up anyway. $0.02

This always falls back to the same thing. We either keep the community as is - like minded, not serious, if people are about then we play, or we start pushing games and nights and compo's but we'd need a much bigger and arguably less interesting community. N42 for example.
