Title: Section admin no more...
Post by: Bastet on February 02, 2007, 11:33:58 AM
The following is one of the hardest things to say, but it has to be done. That said this is an advance notice to the section admins and i ask that the information be kept to ourselfs, i have not yet informed the officers of the guild (which will be done at a meeting scedualed to take place later today).

Due to a lot of small things that have been building up over the last week i have decided to resign from my SOG guild master place tonight. There is a lot of reasons for this, but the ones that stand out are the apperant lack of the current group of officers to work together properly, even simple matters turn into huge debates. The members i choose to stay for when TL and Vargen left have shown via a poll on the forums to be either not sure, unable or not wanting to raid. And lastly, but maybe the biggest issue is that i have heard rumors about ppl beeing unhappy how i run the guild.

All this combined with the resignations of the few officers that are level headed and calm (wierd, sazgul, theoline) have made me deside to step down and leave the guild. There is a offer from the same guild as most my friends went to (Genesis, where TL went to also) and i will probably take them up on thier offer.

With my resignation from section admin i will also stop using HLSW admin and will ask whitey to have my admin level reset to what the other charlie members have. I will try to continue to play matchs and poke arround the forums.

Sorry to hear you're calling it a day Bastet.

We thank you for the effort you've put in to keeping SOG alive during the TBC upheaval and wish you luck with your new guild.

Can you let us know where this leaves SOG? Is it still viable and if so who will run it?

As of now i do not know, in my personal opion its left w/o a strong leader that can pull the rest through and i suppose it will (finish) fracturing soon.

Hopefully by tonight i have more awnsers, since there is a meeting between the officers at which point i will also announce my resignation to them.

I don't see any reason why you should stop having full CS Admin access unless you really don't want it.

Thank you Whitey :D

Also adding to my last post, i just checked the poll and it looks like there are simply not enough of the healing classes in SOG to make it a viable raid force, this will cause a huge outflux of ppl, since they are in it to raid.

FWIW, I agree with Whitey and think you're an asset to dMw regardless of your standing in SoG or even if it folds.

So long as you keep playing CS with us and contributing to forum then happy days.

GL with it

Keep us informed, Bastet.

My thoughts ...

Like Pen, I too know very little about WoW but I do know that dMw have gained many decent, loyal new friends from SOG and I personally have no regrets about making SOG the official dMw guild. However, with Bastet gone and no obvious replacement from within the ranks then it will be appropriate to call 'time' on SOG as it was and to start afresh with a new dMw guild.

My initial thoughts are to approach the senior members still playing WoW and ask them to form this new guild. Whether this new guild raids or not will be up to them - the important thing is to keep an active dMw WoW section.

bastet, once a deadman always a deadman :dmw:

I agree with the others that you should keep your admin status, you have been an asset since you joined and just because you may not be part of SoG doesn't mean you are not a part of dMw which, as a COMMUNITY, is here to help each other.

I too am sorry that things haven't worked out for SoG with the release of TBC but we will wait to see what happens after tonights meeting.
