Ah, but your car will never be there when you need it!
Well done Tox but please be carefull, most accidents happen within the first 12 months of passing your test (I was a prime example )

Ahhh, I've already thought of that. He was too expensive to insure on our wreck of an Astra 1.7, So we found him a Fiesta 1.1 for £350 (he bought it)
It's got 48000 miles on the clock and is a tidy little motor.
As for being careful, I too had an accident in my 1st 12 months and in my old job I attended dozens involving youngsters, so he's had my "input" since day 1 of his driving career:racing:
I reckon You only start really learning to drive once you're through your test...if you can survive the 1st year:49_49:

Couldn't agree more :withstupid:
Aye, I've had the talk many times already, I'm not boy racer material anyway. :)
:worship: I greeted you on Boomer but there is a formal one.
I think you also saved your parents some money by passing first time, right?
And here is a tip how your car should NOT look (although popular in the UK): :-)

Nah i saved ME some money, Blunt was too skanky and said 'you have more money than I do!'.
lol I'm not sure which of those cars is worse... I've cleaned it so it's nice and shiny, that'll do.
Keep to the speed limits and drive safely. Well done Tox :D.
Gratz on the card Tox :thumbsup2:
Had mine for two years.. No accidents yet, but had some close calls..
I didn't have the money to buy a car so I was so 'fortunate' to be able to borrow my parents car:

Isn't it lovely? :sideways:
Anyways.. I know it swallows petrol like I swallow beer, but a Ford Mustang from the mid or late 60ies, is my favourite.. A convertible is nice, but a fastback is better imo..

I better start saving :g:
Congratulations Tox
Just try to avoid stuff like this

Yeah, my parent's car insurance tripled to insure me on their 2.0 Volvo Estate. I mean, I know it's a big-ish engine, but it's not exactly boy racer material is it?!
u think ur not going to b a boy racer.
As soon as summer hit and uve got the windaz open with the music up, it kinda happens automatically (sorry to tell u that), the only think u can control is the sort of music.
1 piece of advice i would offer driving a 1.1 fiesta as i had one not so long ago, in the wet/snow/ice.
PUMP THE BREAKS, they have a tendency to lock up on the festa, even with knowing this it was still the end of my festa in the snow, hardly dented the astra i hit tho.
WTG Jack,
does that mean you can go and pick your own HPL up ? :lmfao:
Nicely done.
PEN
(and the HPL's on its way)
Congrats Tox well done.
Take care on the roads. Living in Lincolnshire (worst roads/drivers in the country) I have seen some shocking driving, just be safe.

Congratz, don't go getting six points in the next two years and having to do it all over again either! It's not cheap and really depressing!!
Well done:clap:, now you can really appreciate how low the standard of other drivers is!
New car *Brum, Brum!* xD
Quote from: BigFatCat;176088Well done:clap:, now you can really appreciate how low the standard of other drivers is!
Yes, i had to 'appreciate' that when driving to school today actually :sideways:
He may have a licence to kill, but should he have a licence to drive? (http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_2189692.html?menu=)

then try how fast your dads car will go.
Then come to Germany there you can go as fast as you like.:dribble: :dribble: :dribble:
Quote from: Exodus;176261Congratz! :) Have got mine test in a few weeks...:help2:
It's all about keeping your cool and not messing up really, it's just stupid mistakes that you make because you're nervous that make you mess up.
Good Luck! lol
