Hay,

I got a new network at my home and dont like the microsoft ways to share files and send files over

Anyone know any softwear i could buy or download (free downloads i mean :))

just some better stuff... cool stuff

Seiously...
I may be wrong but file sharing in windows isn't a program  as such. You just make various drives or files available for sharing  ?

I assume what you are looking for is a Windows Exploroer replacement ?

Pwerdesk is free, Magellan Explorer isn't

There are many many appliance type distros of redhat with nice point and drool web admin interfaces.  If one is capable of putting a cd-rom in the drive one is capable of setting up such an appliance.

Do a search on google for something like "redhat file server" the choices are staggering.

Second: do yourself a favour and buy "Linux for dummies" in the ultimate goal of giving william gates the finger  :lol:
