The demo is just out, and i must say, they did a good job at it, it looks good, plays fast, and i like the improvements they made over the old game.
If your into the series, the demo is well worth checking out :)

Oops, try it now, for some reason the 'ftp' part of the URL vanished.
Nope, it links ot an FTP but the FTP asks for uername & password - putting nothing and pressing enter does not let you download!

Only point where i was a tiny bit disappointedmwas about the physics system.. Shooting the biggggg Ion doom canon thingie, nukes any damn building... but trees keep standing...
But might just be me thats getting to used to the nice physics of SupCom :D
Other then that minor thing.. Seems to be a KICKASS game :D

Well the fact that the trees are slimmer they can withstand the airpressure created by an explosion (or avoid or how you say it).. Haven't tried the game though, so if they keep standing after the bomb hits just next to them or on them, then I can see the problem..
But maybe the bomb is just a future thing that doesn't destroy nature and preserve the natural balance of earth so we won't be doomed in a nuclear-war :g:

well, afaik the nod tactic is to not let the gdi build the mams, frequent guerilla type attacks are the nod style
ime more interested in the scrin tbh :P
tbh it takes no time to get some mam's... even more surprising how little it takes to make superweapons...
Not really convinced you can make that kind of judgement from the demo alone, where they have specifically started you off with stacks of cash and such so that you can easily create the mammoths and superweapons and see how cool they are. Those levels are probably the first ones where you get to play with those units, so they want people to see how fun they are, and will then make them work hard to get them in later levels.
Imo you dont even start with a high amount of cash, when looking what you started with in the old games, its more the time it takes to build a mam im worried about but that will hopefully be adjusted..

At the moment i'm having great fun with the single player campaign. I've just got to Act 3 for both GDI and NOD. No sign of the aliens yet. I was hoping there'd be at least a short single player campaign for them, but I think they might just be bad guys for both sides. Not sure yet. The game is good enough to make me prefer to play that than WoW, which hasn't happened in a while.
Well, i know that there is a 3th (short) campain in which you get to play the scrin after you finish both the GDI and NOD campains. Myselfs, i didnt start NOD yet, but i am working towards killing the temple of NOD in the GDI line, after which there will be some more levels which i will asume include fighting some scrin.
i smell a scrin expansion...
its EA anyways, every non sport/racing game of theirs has an expansion...

Yeah its free, and really fun, getting quit good at it (playing on Heavy allready after only 2 weeks :D)
At this point i have to react so quickly that i can't think at all, i'm actually amazed at the speed my fingers react at the stream of arrows that i have to hit, like 3-6 hits per second for periods ranging from 10-50 seconds without missing a single one.
Warning must be given, don't play it on your brand new keyboard, you will tend to smack the keys alot when you are in the moment :)
the missions are pretty easy ...playing every1 @ hard and i get gold for everything muahahahah

Yeah, I think that's ok... you'd have to ask Dr Sadako though, as he's the forum moderator for Strategic Gaming, which probably means he's in charge of how this is all organised ^^.
Anyways, I haven't actually played many C&C games, only Red Alert and Generals Zero Hour, so I don't really know much about the story line >.>.
