Title: Custom Map Testing

I'm doing some map testing today and will use this thread to list the maps and direct download locations:

de_rotterdam (http://downloads.punkassfraggers.com/files/de_rotterdam.zip) - Really good, minimap works and some nice changes. :thumbsup2:
cs_747 (http://downloads.punkassfraggers.com/files/cs_747_css.zip) - Looiks rubbish and doesn't play very well. :thumbsdownsmileyani
de_dust3 (http://www.cstrike-planet.com/download?type=map&id=430) - Nice map but too small for regular rotation. :yes:
cs_bikini (ftp://ftp.clanserver4u.de/cssmaps/maps/cs_bikini_final.rar) - Updated graphics but otherwise the same as the 1.6 version.:thumbsup2:
cs_spirits (http://www.cstrike-planet.com/download?type=map&id=968) - Issues when loading. :thumbsdownsmileyani
de_contra (ftp://ftp.clanserver4u.de/cssmaps/maps/de_contra.rar) - Same layout, better graphics. :thumbsup2:
cs_code_name_otter (ftp://ftp.clanserver4u.de/cssmaps/maps/cs_code_name_otter.rar) - Small but but could be interresting in TCS mode. :thumbsup2:

lol, Thanks.  I was going to test them first, then ask :D

de_rotterdam is a similar layout as the old CS map but it looks great and the minimap works properly :)

It should be added to the Custom map rotation and I would think the normal rotation as well, but lets see how it goes.  Now for some 747 testing!

You want Rotterdam added to custom map list? If yes then can you update the relevant post on the forum (make it a sticky if it isn't already) and I'll sort out the server custom map list.

I agree with Whitey. Rotterdam is a really good remake of an old classic. New routes for both T and CT added which will improve gameplay a lot. I think this can go straight into the regular rotation.
 
747 is a big disappointment. They have just ported the map straight over and the graphics look terrible. This map could have been so much more.
 
Dust3 is a good 4v4 to 6v6 map. Full MH will not play well on it.
 
Bikini is the same as the old one. Yes,the hostages will not go through the tunnels on this one either. New graphics but the same idea. No beach babes though.
 
Contra like rotterdam looks really good. I got the feeling that the map had become a little shorter but I can be wrong. Still a great map. Could also go straight into the rotation.
 
Code name otter can be a really strategic map for both T and CT. As there are many routes in Ts need to watch their flanks. Smokes and flashes are key on this map.
 
Vertigo and CPL mill are old classics. The only thing that have changed is the textures. Everything else is the same.

BB, Could you please add the following maps on Meathook and also to the custome map rotation (with the exception of dust3). I will update the custom map post to reflect this.  I will also have a look at the standard rotation later.

MH currently running custom map cycle (NB dust3 has been downloaded and installed but has not been added to custom map cycle as per info regarding best for small numbers.

Ok just going through and downloading the maps. I hope i never loose my map files. It's taken me ages to get them to this stage and the folder is in excess of 4gb :P.

Got all maps dl but still when joining server got some strange dl's think it has something too do with the bots :flirty:

Theres a yellow bar that appears at the beginning of some maps that i think maybe related to the bots learning the map. It sometimes takes quite along time to process through.

Sadako (or anyone else who's interested),  could you have a play of cs_junkyard (http://downloads.punkassfraggers.com/files/cs_junkyard_RES-INCLUDED.zip) and see if you think it will work for us. Although the hostage building has a restricted number of entry points (main door and roof vent). I think it could work due to the amount of cover available to allow the CT's to pick off a few T's before entry into the building.

If you are downloading .nav fioles then that is normal. It's navigation points for the bots :)

dust3 is all blury (for me + some others) in the background/sky part - buildings and trees are all one big moosh (like potatos mushed with asparagus)
