Hi :byebye: . As some of you know, I played WoW for about a year before realising I wasn't very good at it and was getting nowhere. In that entire year, my main got to level 31:doh: . Stop laughing. Now.
Well, I'm thinking about having another go now, but maybe not being on an RP realm. I'd like to join the Silver Oak Guardians eventually (:worship:), so I'm just wondering. What would be most usefull for the Guild? I'm gonna be a Draenei, and either a Warrior or Shaman, although I haven't decided on build.:learn:
Oh, and I will be buying TBC, so I can be Shaman if ya want ^^.

wede love to have some full time shammies ;)
Youll have to spend a good while leveling before you get to the levels that most of us are at. Also for char, pick what you lick, not what other ppl want you to be. Youll likely play it for a long while and its an important decission.
Heh. I tried to think of an excuse, but I couldn't xD. Well, I guess I just don't mind yet. I like the idea of stepping in as a tank or healer as pally, I like the versatility of a Shammy, the amount of skill required for a rogue etc. And, I promise that, without the distraction of vaguely attempting to get rid of 1337kids on RP realms and attempting vainly to find some decent RP (on RP realms) I shall go up levels reasonably quickly. =).
But if I really had to pick, it would be a shaman. My first char (which was made on a friend's account) was a Troll shaman, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. But, then again, when I first joined the fact there was a jump key made me happy :P. Also, I just read the post in the Recruitment section. Well, hopefully I'll actually be able to afford TBC+GC by the time everything's sorted =).
Well shammys and rogue level really fast. And Shammy is alot of fun, (plus the scenery of the new part is way better then the "boring" old part of wow) (note that the boring is not really boring, but only in compairisment with the new part)
Aye. Well, I'm definetly gonna be a Draenei. Right. I'm either gonna be a Warrior or Shaman. Need help deciding on that, and on what build to take >.>. I'm an awfull decision-maker.
warrior - tough nut to level (youlle have a little advantage cos of mark of the naaru)
shaman - easy as pie
starting talents, ide say a mix of fury and arms for warr. and enchantment and a bit of elemental for shammy
It also depends on if you want to PvP a lot or not. Shammies > Warriors in that respect. For PvE it doesn't matter much.
Especially when you don't exactly know what you want to do a hybrid class (like a Shammy) might suit you better, since they can do a bit of everything; just specialize in what you like the most after giving it a try.
Although, end game, they generally expect Shammies to heal. Just like they generally expect Warriors to tank. Keep that in mind as well.
As for leveling builds, basicly what Gorion said. Fury / arms (dual wield, since it's less boring imo) for Warriors and enhancement / elemental for Shammies.
If your going shammy (wich you should, gift of the naaru is absolute mana saver and if you play it right can be one of you key spells in defeating mobs 6-7 levels higher then you [that is if you got 5-7 min time for it, :P] or several mobs at once)
Then you really should go for elemental at first. When you hit lvl 42 switch back to enhancement (stormstrike + dualwield + improved windfury) cuz stormstrike/dualwield(or even a good 2h) really really made shamans alot better dmg dealers.
And shammys can be laid back, but you can make it as tuff as you like :)
And again, shammys are the #1 class if it comes to fun with leveling. About high end i don't know, cuz last time i did high end with my shaman it was end 2005 in moltencore.
definatly go shammy mate, it will take you so much longer to lvl a warrior
Righty =). Shammy it is.
