HI Guys, I was not totally sure if this is the correct place to put this. If it is in the wrong place please move it. I was wondering who you use for your server providers? The reason being that we currently have 5 dedicated boxes (4 uk 1 us) I am sure that we could 'pesaude' our uk service provider to offer you some very nice prices if we asked them to include as part of our order. We rent 4 x am2 5200 2 gig ddr2 and 250 gig HD are the spec. We host all our servers on these boxes. The ranked bf2 and 2142 boxes we obviously cant do much with apart from the bf2cc tool. The the other box we have full vnc and ftp access to. The upload download bandwidth is rather nice 80 - 100 meg down and 50 - 75 meg upload!!! so you dont have bandwidth issues. We get a charge for the bandwidth based on what we use spread across all 4 servers in the uk (2 x 64 man bf2 servers can use 6 meg a second of bandwdth whne full) Thought it might be an idea but I might also being talking crap!!! If so slap me at the LAN!!!

Magnus, can I recommend you check your email - you have still not validated your forum account. As such the full features are not always open to you as an unvalidated forum acount holder.
As for the server we currently we co-locate our own hardware with Hi-Velocity in London. The main box is our very own dual Opteron 265 with 4GB of RAM running RAID 0. This box runs our game servers, other services are spread out over other boxes in the same rack.
As we co-locate our own hardware we do not fit precisely into the type of package you folks use.

DOH!!! Thanks TL. I have had a few patients in this morning and forgot to check my mail!!! NP just thought it might have been an idea to try and combine some bandwidth as we are using around 15,000 gig a month!!!!! thought it might have been an idea to combine all the boxes and see if you guys could get a better deal on your bandwidth. Our guy can colocate as well we have just not got round to buying the boxes. Although we did find that he was cheaper using his own boxes! Although the spec is not quite as high as we would like for some of the stuff it's not bad. Our US box is similar to your main box execpet we use the 275 op's and they are Very nice servers!!! Sorry for being a pain in the but! See you at the lan :woot2:
