Tonight on Boomer I had to ban a few people after swearing, whinging and disrespecting.
I accidentally banned a player (|NERV|JW) who'd been on all evening, playing well and enjoying TCS.
I typed ma_unban |NERV|JW also ma_unban "|NERV|JW"
which is the correct syntax?...
and could someone check that I've unbanned him please?

That idiot 'Sit Plx' was causing mayhem......
However, it was amusing to see none of the Mani's responding to him (as there was snr admin present) but the rest of the regular players who are non-dMw were all on his case.
There's a nice following of non-dMw'ers on the server ........

Assault can be a devil to admin when people just connect...it plays better if pubbys have had a map or 2 to get used to the constraints.

There was a "sit" too who was trouble as well, which, at 11.00pm, was confusing at best.

Friday I had to ban a few people also, even after between 5-8 warnings, they still wouldn't listen, I then told them this was my final warning, next time permanent ban, they got what they deserve.
Must say that I also had 2 guys messing about and who were trying to argue with me (psychotic_ninja or something) and it seems they're regulars now.
Ahwell, good stuff.
If people just don't listen, TK and swear alot and who don't listen to the admins: :byebye:, we don't want you playing on our servers...
EDIT: BB and such can see the serverlogs so probably can get the name + playerID from that for an unban (I know they check the server sometimes when we play on it).

I would need his Steam ID, rather than even more people contacting the guy, could you get back in touch Pen and ask him for it (unless BB/OB can get the ID from the logs).

Sorry for the hijjack but a question:
As typed before I banned 2 players on Friday-evening, do I have to put up a thread or so why I banned them plus name and such should they get on the forum asking why?
Before I banned them I checked with a fellow (full) admin if the ban would be allright or not and he agreed. I made these a full ban because I thought they were just to much.

If they come on the server asking why, respond then. We have too many people who get bans on Boomer to do a post for every one.
If it's on Meathook, then a post would be required.
I've seen |NERV|JW back on the server today so I guess he's aware that his ban has been lifted.

Well, to be fair, the English degree was fairly useful as I do write for a living. The Classical Studies' one is a little harder to quantify :blink:.... I only did it because I loved the subject so much. Not *so* useful - except I can read gravestones in Latin :doh:
