I was absolutely disgusted with DA's behaviour tonight. First he shot at the CT's during the map walkthrough (he was the only T), then he did it again after the restart (and a talking to). After BB kicked him he said something like "don't ever do/try that again" in chat followed by "stop acting like a cock" over voice comms. Not something I would expect from a Charlie and not the first time he's flaunted what dMw stand for (a couple of weeks ago he ran round Italy without any regard for boundaries). He seems to think he is somehow special and outside of what the rest of us class as acceptable. I think some sort of warning is in order but will happily take guidance, especially as BB was the one targeted.

I must admit, as i was on other side, I didn't hear the voice comms bit but if I had I think he would have got more than a kick.
For a Charlie to join a server, see everyone on a single team and then to come in shooting after two people said in chat that it was a map famil is unbelievable.
he is far too arrogant and seems to think he can do what he likes.
On DA, allthough its not really on topic here:
In world of warcraft i also noted that he seams to have a strong own agenda and is not much of a team player. He can be more then a handfull to have arround.
In the time i was guild master we crashed heads more then once, on various subjects, most notably the matter of the guildbank, in which he came to the conclusion he was entitled to have half of funds there, and went on and on about it, even after said funds had been transferd to the new guildmaster (Gorion).
I have since build up a disliking for him.

He's had a few 'reminders' in the past so another one wont be a shock.
It's your section, Whitey, but I'd suggest a PM reminding him of his position within the community and a short (1 month?) ban.
If you get any verbals then report them here and we will take it further.
I think we should remember what DA is here - at the moment imo he is a troubled teenager going through some difficult personal times.
I would go for something slightly shorter (maybe a week?) and couple it with a message along the lines of "whatever issues you have got that are making you so angry then please use the time to deal with them so that you return a happier and wiser member".
At the end of the day the period of this ban is not too important as if he comes back and is still a frustrated teenager then he'll get a much more permanent ban and we'll lose a dMw member. Much more important is the message we send - if we make the ban too extreme he'll focus on the length of the ban and not listen to the messaage - if the ban is less significant he might listen to the message and come back a better dMw member. Being banned in itself is shock enough without the ban being an extended one.
DA needs some sort of discilplinary action, but my read on him at the moment is that he is struggling and possibly failing to come ot terms with a number of issues in his life and is really feeling under pressure. A month ban is probably something that would draw his focus and anger. A shorter ban might get the job done better imo.

Aye, but he is a young for his age and only just out of the official definition. Believe me, I am not trying to defend what he did and I agree some discipline needs to be sorted, I am just giving my opinion of how he will receive any comment or action from us. We can deal with it in whichever way we want, but different ways will illicit different responses from different people.

I agree with TLs diagnosis. very astute and at the end of the day, even though (like Bastet) I dislike DA's attitude, I would sooner have him as a strong dMw member than someone who quits in umbrage. I'm for short ban strong message.

Sequence of events:
- de_rotterdam starts.
- we call everyone to CT for map famil
- part way through famil DA joins T and starts to shoot people killing at least one person (he should have realised at this point that something was wrong)
- I and at least one other person type a message saying it is a map famil.
- reply from DA says I'll take you all on
- we start famil again - DA stays on T side
- I think it was d.a.n who tried to put a smoke grenade on DAs head (he was crouching in the bomb site)
- Don't know exactly what happened then but DA killed d.a.n
- I kicked DA
- He rejoined and said "Don't ever kick me again!" in all say.
- Several of us told him his behaviour was out of line (I believe it was at this point he started mouthing off on voice comms).
- I told him (via all say) that i was not going to continue the discussion on the map and if he had got anything to say then take it through the forums/PMs
Can you get the logs from last night as I was sure DA said he would "take us all on" just after he joined and not after the restart (not sure it matters). But I did send chat messages, as did BB, when DA started shooting. At point 11 on BB's list, BB changed teams just as DA mouthed off on voice comms. DA thought he was still talking to BB at the time. I told him on voice comms his language was not acceptable and he shut up after that.

We all get carried away sometimes but normally people accept their errors, post an apology and get on. NinjaF is a great example. He was wrong - accepted the punishment and worked hard to ameliorate it.
A while back BB did something (I forget what) but immediately posting a contrite apology on the forums.... that's all it takes - just to say "sorry guys, I fubared up there a tad... I'm sorry."
I guess it coud be put down to the exuberance /arrogance of youth but it's no excuse. he should know better.
I think the OB/TL pm would have more gravitas that anyone else's and I'd be surprised if he kept his stance after that. Either way it's a shame - he's basically a nice guy, a pretty hot player and 'usually' is a good representative for dMw.

That's strange as it was in the ban list on all three server's yesterday morning. He was still a Mani admin but I wouldn't have thought that would make a difference. His Mani admin status has been revoked.
I have had two Charlies contact me since DA's post to say they are glad he has been demoted as he has been doing a lot of rushing out of bounds on Boomer and taking no notice when asked to stop (and not just recently). :sideways:
