it occurs to me on certain fps games (stalker is one of them :S). and after 30min of gameplay even my stomach aint that fine neither

Not noticed that on Stalker. It may be the case that you are more susceptible to these sorts of things. If you are concerned you can always ask a doctor.
Another thing to check is whether you have vsync enabled or disabled in the game. If it is disabled you will get higher frame rates but the display may flash/tear more which will be uncomfortable after a while. If it is enabled then you will get lower frame rates but the display should be much smoother to the eye.
Worth checking I suppose.
If you focus long and hard on your monitor, especially if you are sitting to close, you can end up confusing the balance.Try distancing yourself a little bit from the monitor and maybe once in a while look away from it and back.
Happens to me once in a while. A good indication of too much gaming for me
Haven't experienced it for quite some time, but back when I played Duke Nukem and the old wolfenstein and Doom 3D games, I always got naucious after a short period..

You've hardened since then mate :D
I vaguely remember this from a while ago. Is there a check on Stalker to stop the head bobbing when you run?
That or man up a bit.
I had the same problem with quite a few games.
As Benny said, switch off view bob.
The worst games were FPS inside rooms, caves, enclosed spaces.
I get this when I play on the computer and it's set to 60 hertz, It's to do with radiation, ( Still got a tft mon, or is that tct, I always forget. ) so I set it to 72 hertz, and it's fine. Or you get motion sickness.
I never had any problems like that. Played STALKER the whole Sunday and no problems.
I think a year ago someone typed something similar that they also got dizzy or such.
Can't find that particulair thread though.
All I remember is my reply that games allways have a warning with it about the thing you're having.

i have it with multiple games too, mostly fps like the old doom (not with the newest fps luckely), but also with Carmageddon, i always thoughed it had to do something with my eyes, cuz i have a lil bit trouble with seeing depths.
edit:
When i played oblivion, i had it too, but maybe that had something to do with the fact that my pc had the minimum pc requirements, and was shaking a bit here and there.
Yep it's motion sickness. I get it on Half-life and Half-life 2 a fair bit. However I actually get it worse without head bob switched on. It's the gliding along sensation that gets me. With head bob on I suffer from it less. Which is probably why I never had a problem in Counter-Strike.
I only got it mild so I have no idea whether traditional motion sickness remedies (i.e tablets, weird rubber bracelets etc.) would help?

i remember that my sister had those bracelets when she was 6 years old or so, when she had car sickness. It used to help here a bit back then.
Maybe it's better for some people here to not drink beer and play then :)
Ahwell, must say that I didn't knew that that much people have problems with it like that...

never played that kind of games with beer.
And i didn't know there where that many either, most gamers i talked with didn't had it.
I tend to get that wierd dizzyness when im sober, never had it when im playing games after a beer or 2!
Mine is usually more of a headache and blurry vision tho

Its called a hangover, sheepy :narnar:
no its not, if i have a hangover I have it bad, I cant even look at a monitor, as some will remember teaming up with me on new years day. that wasn't a pleasant experience.

well, ive never suffered from any motion sickness, ie on boats, planes, fast cars etc, so maybe it is the crt rad :S
hopefully with 75 hertz and headbob off, its better
right, just turned off the ingame 60 hertz option, and it totally fooked up my screen in the game, its all a bunch of lines. cant even turn it off(cant see anything) attempting to turn it off via ini hacking :S
edit: solved, if anyone has this problem you can fix it by editing rs_refresh_60hz off to rs_refresh_60hz on
in the file: user.ltx in here: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\STALKER-SHOC
edit via notepad and remember to untag: always use this selected program blablabla

Neither have I. Although I do start to feel exactly the same if I try to read a book while a passenger in a car. It must all be connected but I have no idea how :g:

Get that too...
Or trying to play a game, or Console. ( In a car. ) (( Moving)) (((fast )))
I did try very hard to resist doing the DR smilodon thing again...but failed
The brain is constantly receiving information about where you are and how you are moving. This information comes from the balance receptors in your inner ear which tell you which way up you are and what direction you are moving in. You also get information from your joints and muscles which tell you how you are moving and your skin which tells you what parts of your body are connected with the ground. Your brain links all these pieces of information up and provides a consistent picture of exactly what you are doing. As long as they all agree with each other things are fine and you feel fine.
However when some information contradicts other information you get problems. For example when you move around in a PC game your eyes tell your brain you are moving but your inner ear detects no motion, because you are actually sitting still in a chair at your PC. So you get two bits of information which don't agree. In fact they completely contradict each other. You are moving and you are not moving. Your brain gets confused and the result is motion sickness.
As to why for example I can get sick playing Half-Life but not Counter-Strike, why I get car sick if I read a book but can sleep in a sailing boat in high seas with no effect is beyond me.

I read this and had to think of something. The other day I played BF2 and I was using a plane and when I was flying my mom enterd the room. She started laughing because I was making a corner with the plane and with my head I was folowing the corner of the move (tilting my head).
Got to say that I can only read for like 10 minutes when I'm in a car...
Quote from: Eternaluk;182676Sooo, Did that fix you head at all?
nope.. the game is bugged @ 60hertz and theres no head bob off option
Quote from: Gorion;182665ive never suffered from any motion sickness, ie on boats, planes, fast cars etc,
whaaa thaaa!
you can't know about fast cars, you cant go fast in Malta, to many pot holes!

There is an option in advanced graphics settings to disable the 60Hz limit (down near the bottom)
