Halakria (lvl64 human mage) contacted me in-game today and asked for a re-invite.
He left because he needed a [post=168138]break from WoW[/post], and I also found [post=181169]this thread[/post] from a couple of weeks back where he said he was back. He had been kicked because of >2 months inactivity, and of the replies in that last thread of his, I guess it won't be a problem to invite him back in again?
Do we need another mage? Guild is stuffed to the gills with them...
it's for the social stuff.. and we can allways need a waterboy :)
so i would say aie, re-invite..
In my opinion this one shouldn't be considered for what needs the guild might have or not. Halakria never really left - he simply stopped playing because he needed a break from WoW. And as can bee seen in one of those threads, the only reason why he isn't in the guild anymore, is that he was offline for too long.
One of the requirements for guildmembership is actively playing, since theodwyn its allways been a rule, and failing to be online for 2 months could be taken as failure to meet the membership requirements. Thus you do not have to take him in.
i dont think it would hurt to get another member in, plus he doesnt seem helle be raiding
plus, it was said helle be re invited, so we cant back out of that now anyways

Point :g:
So, the next one to see him online can just pop him an invite than? And just post here when it's done.
due to the circumstances involved, its how i see it
backing out of a given word aint nice
My view aswell. He was promissed a reinvite, so imho he should get one.
invite wasnt accepted
wierd.. but ok
right this is one wierd situation.
before asking this guy about the invite, i sent a letter syaing blablabla you can now be re invited. later that evening he logged online ans i spoke to him. ended up saying he already joined a guild called Shia Hulud.
now yesterday or the day before, i recieve a letter from this guy saying thanks, ille /w you when youre on.
later on he logs and /w me, saying that hese been waiting to see me online for quite some time :S. he also said that hese ready for that invite...
now, as far as my mind says. this guy said no. and now hese saying that i never talked to him.. hese also saying that hese not in Shai Hulud...
then i /w one of their officers and he said they never had any members starting with H.
ive got no idea on whats going on, but afaik i talked to the guy and he said no.
is there a way we can check his past guild via armory or something?
omg! this case beats me.. to bad bob got other stuff to do or he would be all over this.. i must say as ellie i got my mind alt tabbed.. we might have to ask if he got a share account, and if so, he must have a chat with the other part.
Aye, sounds like a share account or mistaken identity. Maybe the letter went to the wrong account?

As you a mail as a reply to the one you sent to him, it is pretty clear that you sent the mail to the correct character.
First thing to check: you said
"later that evening he logged online ans i spoke to him" - was it you who initiated this conversation, or did he whisper you first? If it was you, than there is a chance that you whispered the wrong person. If it was him, than there is a chance that he is sharing his account with somebody.
Second thing to check: you also said
"ended up saying he already joined a guild called Shia Hulud" - was this just something that he said, or did you also check him (isn't it
+ on the name or something?)?
From his character history (http://www.warcraftrealms.com/charhistory/3989206), he seems to have been un-guilded since he left SOG back in October. This can however be wrong if he only was in Shia Hulud (which I btw couldn't find neither in Blizz's armory or in WarcraftRealms' lists) for just a day or so...
Also on a side note: I can recommend you all to start using the add-on WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) (http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/3921/wim-wow-instant-messenger/). It is a great tool for handling all your whispers - you get chats with different persons in their own little windows - easy to keep track of all the different conversations. In the last version that was released, they also implemented tabbed chat windows, which improved the quality of the add-on even more.
The reason why this add-on also can be of great help in cases such as this one, is that you can configure it to log all your conversations (you can limit for how long it should keep history, if it should be for friends/guildies/all etc). It is what I used when I showed you the conversation I had with [post=187053]Bilsebob[/post] - and in this case Gorion could easily have gone back in his log to see what was really said and by whom :thumbsup2:
i inititated the conversation
and afaik i shift clicked his name
Well, he currrently has access to the forums and made a post today - what's going on? Is he in or out?

Shai Hulud, they already tried to take a member
Has he been declined Gor?
And who was the member?
they tried to nick marduk, but he refused
(@you know who, marduk said this openly on gchat)
Would somebody mind making a small recap of the situation? Cause now I'm reading the last 7-8 posts, and I'm not quite following what you all are talking about. Is there some problem of any kind, or are you all just joking around with something?
No kidding. Marduk got whispered from Shai Hulud if he could join their guild and gquit ours. They needed a healer and he has already raided with them before. He told me he declined. The problem here is that they are asking people to leave their current guild to join theirs. It might have been an one time experience, and we dont need to overreact, but we should be alert about this matter. I dont know if this is normal to do when you need people, but I find it kinda rude.
It is normal for people to recruit from other guilds as good players are rarely if ever unguilded. It might be rude, but it is de facto a way of life. You need ot accept that whilst it might be rude, it is what you need to do. If you find a good healer or other class you need then talk to them, find out what they do in their guild, add them to friends, keep in contact, find out of they are unhappy or just plain recruit them. If you do not then someone else will.

I'm just posting here for Elly, as she is still online.
