Title: Aiming in smoke
Post by: Dr Sadako on April 24, 2007, 09:36:23 PM
You know that it is a pain to see anything in smoke, for example the tunnel on prodigy filled with smoke by either T or CT. A trick that I have been using for while is to aim at the nozzle flare of the opponent. That way you actually have something to aim at instead of just shooting into the smoke without a clue. Enjoy. :norty:

Also, if you're gonna smoke a long corridor (so many of them to choose from), try and get the smokey as close to the enemy as you can, since that way, if they wanna shoot you to keep you out of their hall, they'll have to walk out of the smoke enough for them to be exposed, instead of you being the exposed one.

always try to inhale a little air with your smoke as it stops you coughing your lung up, and you still look cool:D

seriously though, I reckon that a good coordinated smoking can really be useful.
I always chuck a smoke to the right when going double doors on aztec, and up the long steps on Italy. Smoke the main doors on assault too.
Even if you don't follow them up, they can buy your team some time as the oppo's wait for the smoke to clear.:)

Especially on maps with several acces-points that can all be defended from the same spot a smoke at least gets some looking the other way (all of them if you're lucky:narnar: ).
