Rumours have been going around for a long while now that Bioware, leaders in the RPG genre on the PC and Xbox platforms, have been secretly working on an MMORPG based on one of their many successful franchises.
Now details are surfacing that that franchise might actually be Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic! Bioware has formed a new online team to create the Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic massively multiplayer online game. KOTOR was a massive success, especially with Star Wars fans, and the thoughts of an MMO based on this franchise has already created big ripples in the community.
Bioware seem to have their hands full at the moment, what with Xbox 360's Mass Effect being delayed to September recently, and other titles such as "PC exclusive" Dragon Age being ported to PS3 and a Nintendo DS game based on the Baldur's Gate franchise also in the works.
