As the title says, Im bored.. very bored.. What the hell did people do before computers and internet? Its so very very boring..
Although yesterday I got entertainment for about a week.. One of my flatmates were having problems with his girlfriend again.. I was just staying in my room, but they were yelling and argueing just outside it.. And then she suddenly screams 'You shall burn in hell you *******' and started running around with a hairspray and a lighter (I didn't actually see that but I know the sound).. She's good at slamming doors aswell.. and throwing stuff..
Nothing serious yet, just threats.. But as soon as they were away from my door I ran out (been sitting and waiting for that moment for 5 minutes xD ).. I couldn't watch telly in that noise..
Fun stuff I tell ya.. Thought about calling the police, but meh.. They'll sort it out eventually..
So hows it hanging in the other world? some similarities I suppose?
Only one more week till I get paid and hopfully get the comp fixed :sideways:
Anyways.. back to work..

Ha ha ha, how great :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
But you should really consider getting WoW installed at your work computer - just tell your boss you're gonna work some extra hours, than you just spend the evenings there! You could even bring a sleeping bag, so that you won't have to go home in the night either :flirty:
Well noone would most likely find out it if I stayed during the night, but I wouldn't install WoW on one of these computers.. They're not exactly what one would call gaming computers.. They're pretty basic tbh.. Plus I need admin rights to install anything on these computers.. Also why I can't watch any movies posted on these forums :sideways:
Quote from: Nefertem;186999Plus I need admin rights to install anything on these computers..
Not sure if that actually goes for WoW. As you as able to copy the WoW folder from one machine straight over to another, and it works out of the box, you should be able to do that on your work as well. You might even be able to run the installation CDs, but that's a bit more uncertain :g:
Hmm.. ok.. but still.. They're basic (by basic I mean stripped from anything you don't need to run the internet and such). Only thing decent is the MX510 mouse Im using
EDIT: Got an Intel Celeron 2,80GHz CPU, Intel somit gfx card and intel somit everything else
its enough ;)
i used to run it on a 1.8 amd ;)
A 2.8Ghz Intel Crapolon is more then fast enough to run WoW; 800Mhz is the minimum requirement. You do need 6GB disk space though, which might be a problem on a work PC :narnar: .
Yupp, it can be. Most of em tend to run a very minimal disk w/ booting most the stuff off a larger network.
And anyway, if you need admin right you can also use ERD commander to create your own personal admin account in the local machine (or modify the localadmin password) , so you will have admin rights for everything!!! :D
Yea if I knew how to do that
But just got paid today, so when i get back from Denmark (on monday) Ill get the computer fixed, and hopefully Ill be online within a week :woot2:
Otherwise ill go :boxing: on someones arse
Quote from: Nefertem;187716Otherwise ill go :boxing: on someones arse
As long as you keep away from my arse, you can do whatever you like - just get back online again asap :flirty:
so fun.. neffles was online here the other day :D
so how's that pc comming together?
Yea been home all weekend so borrowed my brothers comp to get in and pick up those mails which were close to getting deleted..
Was planning to get the comp fixed today, but I had a minor accident yesterday as I misread my planeticket and missed the flight ( ) so Im still in Denmark.. Called in sick at work and got a plane for tonight.. so tomorrow Ill get it done..
lol!
Clever boy
Very much so! Got to spend another day in my beloved Denmark and away from the dreaded Norway though so didn't really matter so much for me.. and my employee believed the story that I'd gotten food poisoning during the weekend and that stuff was coming out from each end :D
Dropping the comp of after work, and then Im just hoping for a quick and cheap repair.. The extra planeticket took a bite of my bankaccount, so I hope it isn't very serious.. other than that I just hope the guy has very little to do, as I would hate waiting several weeks for him to finish :sideways:
ok.. I just had a call from the guy.. It turns out I gotta pay him 1500 NOK (£125) for telling me what I have been suspecting for the last month.. that its the motherboard.. He can order the same (or one equivalent to it) and the price on one of those is about 1000 NOK (£83)..
So all in all.. waste of money.. I should've ordered the motherboard a month ago and fixed it myself.. would've saved me weeks of boredom and £125..
As much as Im happy to actually have it confirmed and therefore be able to see the light, Im pretty ****ed at myself for being a lazy ignorant slob..
Ill finish my work, and Ill ask him to order the motherboard, and then Ill go get drunk.. frustration mixed with happiness and alcohol sounds like a nice mixture..
mooo

Good to hear that your computer isn't too far away from being brought back to life - sucks that it got to cost you that much though :sideways:

pwned ^_^
lol!! you got me babe
Going to pick up the computer today after work ( :woot2:), and hopefully it will work straight away.. and hoepfully it won't be raining when I get it :sideways:
btw.. walking 500 meters with a 20kg computer in a 1x1m box proved rather difficult.. I also carried it in such a way that I had to work very hard to stretch and move my fingers the next 10 minutes after I delivered it (I guess the box had been resting on my muscles etc on the innerside of my arm so that the fingers kinda locked themselves in fold-mode)
Doors should be wider in Norway aswell..
lol.. you stopped the blood flow :woot2:
crazy old dane :lmfao:
but loooking forward to see you online again :D
And now that i got some better healing gear we better start making groups to get the rest of the rep we need :D
