:dribble:
At those prices, I think I'll just stick to the watch currently on my wrist
Quite fun.
I collect watches and it's an interesting site to design your own.
Problem is though for the price of it (although quite cheap at about $500) you could get a nice tag or similar.
Fun though.

Meh, I keep forgetting that there's actually people with salaries on this planet
OK let me re-phrase that.
I meant it's RELATIVELY quite cheap when compared to other makes of watch.
Compared to a Omega, Rolex, IWC etc it's damned cheap - about the price of a Rolex strap lol
Compared to a Swatch it's not
Personally, I'm into Traser's at the moment.

I know they're military ones but I bought one for a friend in the services and he really rated it.
I bought one which I wear on Holidays (don't take my nice watch normally) and I love it.
given the choice of the two - I'd have a Traser

PS. If anyone wants a traser I can get them trade(1/2 price listed on that site). I have to get minimum £250 order though. I have a couple of people wanting http://www.traserh3.co.uk/p/14/traserh3_watches/Traser_H3_P5900_Type_3_Watch.htm
which, at £35 odd pounds are pretty nifty for hacking around daily.
Let me know.
I haven't worn a watch for at least 12 years.
If I need to know the time I look at my Phone, or if pushed, I ask someone like Pen:narnar:
When I was made redundant from Novell in the early 90s, I bought a Tag Heuer 4000 with my payoff. It's been great ever since, with only 2 battery changes at about £35 each time:doh:
I'd like to get either a Titanium cased Kinetic or similar, or maybe something like a Suunto with compass, altimeter, thermometer and other highly important information I don't need.
I waned a nice analogue faced watch a while back, but didn't want to have to change the date every time the month didn't have 31 days, and wanted the month to show. In the end I went with a Citizen Skyhawk, Titanium version: http://tinyurl.com/ypa8u2
V nice watch, and the small solar cells behind the facing should mean that (as long as you don't regularly wear long sleeved sweaters and stuff) you never need to replace the battery. Even if it does run out of power you can just stick it in the sun for a bit to charge up. It's freaky though, cos to save power if it's left in the dark for a long time it stops moving the second hand. If left there long enough (longer than overnight) it stops moving the hour and minute hands too (still keeps time though). As soon as you press any buttons or move it into sunlight the hands rotate round to the correct time, which is just strange to watch.

But an Omega is a Swatch watch :narnar:
Is it?
I've never owned an Omega myself. I prefer Rolex and Tag as brands and Omega falls slap bang between the two.
All I know is that James Bond wears one.....
