I saw this (http://www.bt.dk/article/20070504/NYHEDER/70504008/0/A) (its in danish) article earlier today, about a danish garbageman (dunno what they're called in english.. the ones that pick up your garbage and takes it to recycling/burning/what not).. One his route he found a lotto coupon outside a house, but because he was such a loving and caring person he just put it back in front of the door..
Next day it turned out it was a winner and the coupon was worth £1.01 million!!
The garbageman told the news paper that he couldn't have used the money anyways, atleast not with a good conscience..
The original owner of the coupon showed his everlasting gratitude by giving the garbageman 4 bottles of wine, 1 box og chocolate and £91..
Personally Id feel pretty damn stupid if I found a coupon that turned out to be that much worth, but meh.. the Garbageman now carries the title: 'Most honest garbageman of Denmark'.. Im sure he's happy..
well I hope he declared his earnings as although the lottery is tax exempt the bin mans winnings are not, he needs to also declare the chocolates and wine and these are taxable at there 2nd hand value.... I trust you will ensure that this is so...:woot2:

'Sup with the £91?:eyebrow:
Seriously though, I couldn't live with myself if I were that garbage man. All that lovely money...

Personally, I'd feel pretty darn stupid if that was all I rewarded the man that gave me back my £1.01 million lottery ticket :sideways:
And also, don't think I would have felt good with myself if I claimed the prize for somebody else's coupon - at least if I found it just outside their house or something similar, and there were no doubt who the owner was.
i would have kept it.
bought DMW some new servers etc. hosted a "sheep LAN" with lots of free alcohol! and still have lived well
And that's why I want Sheepy for President!!!
Wars would be fought out through a LANgame of BF2 and loads of beer. :flirty:

Nah... you were trying to see if some gullible idiot went for it
91 quid sounds a bit low though, give the man a bit more, heck he should be able to afford it now :g:

It worked :narnar:
he should have given the man atleast 10% finders fee, maybe even 50% sincehe wouldn't have had it if the gb-man hadn't returned it :S
Saw some headlines in the gossip papers the other day about people be quite mad at the winner for rewarding the garbage guy with so little.. He's trying to convince people it doesn't make him cheap.. didn't really read it though..

Yeah when small talking it seems many peeps thinks he is cheap. So do I.
nonsense.. for 4 bottles of wine, a box of chocolate, £91 and the title of 'most honest garbageman in Denmark' I could live forever
But as Lumi said.. a 10-50% finders fee wouldn't have hurt anyone.. they're both old anyways.. not like they need the money..
