From CS Nation ...
QuoteIGN PC has posted a release date on Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. The original release date was nearly a year earlier than the current release date, September 9th, 2003. VALVe has been late on several releases in the past, so you know what to expect!

......I take it that will be the Twin Powers Edition (Valve + Half Life) of CS then??
slightly unsubtle time to release a T v CT game methinks!!
This is Valve we're talking about. The mighty software company that in it's seven year history has managed to produce.....
Half_Life..........................................................hurrah
Team Fortress..................................................just multi-player Half-Life
Counter-Strike Retail........................................written by someone else
and err that's about it :(
Hardly a powerhouse of game development is it.
So to produce CS:CZ in the same time span that most software developers need to release half a dozen games, seems fair for the old plodders in my book. Role on the next missed deadline
oi TFC was and is class m8 :D not just multiplayer hl u know ;)

It used the same engine, which was my point i.e. not a complete new game.
Not a powerhouse games developer, but they only churn out good games :)
Half-Life, CS, TFC, DoD, its all good....
Gimme Valve over Electronic Arts any day :D
No one is questioning their quality just their work rate.
CS:CZ has taken a farcical amount of time, and even if September is actually the date the game is released it's still far longer than most developers take to produce several games. Delay after delay after delay is becoming a bit of a joke
Yeah, porting the same HL engine and just sprucing it up isn't really a new game is it, even if it's fun to play
CS:CZ ain't gonna be here for a while yet folks. Better make do with PCS then :)
Read the PC Zone preview recently.
They do not rate it highly and gave it 76% mainly due to the fact that people who buy it can play CS online with it.
Apparently, the single-player element is utter shite. 8O

QuoteCS:CZ Not On Vivendi's List
Spoonman @ 11:31 am pst - cs: cond. zero - 19 comments
After numerous delays, development changes, and leaks, it seems that Counter-Strike: Condition Zero is heading for yet another road bump. The guys over at Planet Half-Life are reporting that Condition Zero is not on the recently released Vivendi 2004 software list. Planet Half-Life deduces the following:
Does this mean CS: CZ is canceled? That the game will be published by somebody else? Or is this just some sort of oversight? We don't know for sure, and neither Valve or Vivendi are talking, so draw your own conclusions.
This is of course entirely speculation, and it may be a bit extreme to say that Condition Zero has been cancelled. There is not enough legitimate information to draw that conclusion. However, this could very well explain the latest delay of Condition Zero.

Oh dear oh dear Valve are really losing the plot it seems. This and the HL2 fiasco really makes you wonder whats going on
QuoteCS:CZ Leaked... Again
rizzuh @ 3:22 am - cs: cond. zero - 55 comments - hot topic
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero has been leaked, for the second time in its life. Technically, the first leak was of Ritual Entertainment's version of the game back in October when the HL2 source code was leaked. This latest leak is of the Turtle Rock Studios version of the game which we previewed in October. There's no telling how old or new this leak is, but I will say that I previewed CS:CZ the day after the big HL2/CS:CZ leak was discovered, so it's quite possible that the intruder had the Turtle Rock files on hand and had been waiting to release them.
Another possible leak source could be the game's publisher, Vivendi. Vivendi, parent company of Sierra, has seemingly been purposefully with-holding CS:CZ from release. A leak from a low-level employee would not be too out of the ordinary. In fact, many PC games are warezed days before release through similar internal piracy.
A third possible scenario is a member of the gaming press deciding to release a preview version of the game to the public.
