Title: Boomer & Bad Voice Comms
Post by: Coaxafkone on May 14, 2007, 06:47:43 PM
Have just come from playing Boomer, and it sounds like the quality of the voice - comms are acting up. A couple of the guys can hardly hear their team-mates, including me, and I haven't had this problem since before the codec was installed. Just wondering if there are any solutions, or is the server being worked on at the moment?

Ah no worries, seemed to have been only for one map. The comms are back to normal now. Seems a bit of a pointless post now. Can it be deleted?

What's even better, is when you're talking, nobody hears you...
Check that you're using the right push-to-talk button (see the talk symbol), still nobody reacts...
Take your mic really really close to your mouth, almost put it inside, and yell real loud - and still nobody seems to hear you...

Than you see the mini-jack for your mic lying on your desk next to your screen... :getmecoat:

My coms seem to be bad recently. I don't relly know what they sound like, I might get a new mic to see if that help, or maybe borrow dans for a little bit to see if that helps at all, to see if it is the mic, but I can't remember the thing you put in console so you can hear yourself... 'Playback', 'Loop'?

*Laughs at Exodus*

Anyways, my own comms seem to differ in sound-quality from one player to another. 'Tis to say, some people can hear me properly, while others can't hear me at all. Any reasonable explanation for that? :g:
