Well, Steam just updated, and now I can't start steam properly, what happens is I lcick on steam twice to start it up. "connection to steam account *******" (Account name/user name.) I've got steam to start up to friends, so I get friends list pop up, then it either doesn't respond, or I get the above message, and steam closes.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this before and if you've got a simple wayto fix it, i'm just going to have a look at the troubleshooting section on Valve site.
[EDIT] Still can't fix it, where was something very similar to what i've got now, but their answer didn't help..
[EDIT #2] Thanks Lee, all you've got to do is delete the clientregistryBLOB.
Lol, the BLOBfile thing has been posted loads of times all over the forums.
If Steam messes up (as usual), allways delete the registry BLOBfile first.

If I recall correctly, that was me. The response I got was "google'd it" or something like that.:g:
No problem, as Duvel says i usually recommend deleting the blob file primarily before anything else if there are any steam problems as this seems to cure most of them. It was probably due to a faulty download or something.
