Sheepher - top dps, even after over 13 deaths in last nights Kz
Vanguish - 2nd in dps in last nights Kz
Saori - 3rd in dps in last nights Kz, needs to improve it since the difference between 1,2 and 3 was high
I think it is also fair that we already now give both Plight and Deloris a heads up that we have been monitoring their DPS. Even though we didn't see them in yesterday's raid, I think they deserve to be told as soon as possible, so that they can start improving/skilling up/gearing up.
Now I haven't had a chance to look at Saori's build or gear (nor do I know much about mage stuff either), but if he really is far below what can be expected, we should perhaps consider giving him some advice as well?
in a called tsh run, icehawk was doing much more dps then saori, and afaik, icehawk's gear aint that good neither
SH is an instance which suits a rogue much more than a lock to be fair gor. Locks can't dot everything to hell and back for fear of breaking cc.
Yeah but there are multiple mobs to nuke there..........
Anyway, Sheepy I have been working with to increase his dps - hopefully you have given him some recognition for it! As for the others, if they need to speak to me about mages/priests then please do and I would be happy to help wherever I can.

I will be using http://www.lossendil.com/wws/ on future runs to analyze wipes and runs
I will also be posting in the raid forum about how to see these logs and how to use them to improve there play.
In general it will give yourself an idea of how you are performing compared to other people. But most use for people to improve their DPS comes from comparing their performance to same class and spec on a boss to another guilds kill without a death and similar group setup. You can for example check the casting sequence of spells. Also checking the 25man boss kills and look for very high DPS persons of the same class and look at their cast sequence and spec.
As an example http://www.lossendil.com/wws/?report=41dihs6scxdfa&s=4770,4915
this combat log has most Kara bosses killed(link should have direct link to the death of Curator) and it is done with a group similar to what we usually have. I think there was alot of deaths in this kill though.
Looks interesting, I have not seen that addon before. What does it do over and above what SWstats already does? Is it the post raid ability to analyse?
TL.
It is basically a java applet that sorts the combat log for easy post raid analyzes. It has no use during a raid and doesn't replace SWstats. It isn't an addon you only need to have the combat log saved to a file though it is required that you do what ever you can to increase the size and reach of the combat log.
It has the standard damage meter both incoming and outgoing and healing meter. But you can also check every person, what spells the damage came from how much mana they regened from diffrent sources and other buffs they got during the fight. You can also do the same with the boss, check what debuffs were applied what type of damage was mostly incoming and resist rates of those damage schools.
Then you have the Who tables. Those give you percentages for how much of each healers healing was going to each person and also how many healers were focusing on each person
Same type of table exists for who is hitting whom and who was hit by whom.
Lastly you have a color coded combat log that can be searched in alot of ways. You can sort it to only show 1characters combat stats, or even only his offensive or defensive stats. This can be used to for example see the casting order of the spells or how many crushing blows the tank got and if there were any close to each other. It can also give you an idea of why a tank died, from what i have read of previous combat log discussion on EJ forums the most common reason for a tank death is a damage spike where all the heals landed at about the same time and then there was a gap with no heals incoming. The combat log should be able to show you the time of incoming heals on the tank.

this should be the log of the last 2 tries on curator tonight.
the following logs are Curator kills, the first only has 1evo. The second has 2. Similar group setup to what we had. The last one is a 3evo kill with 3deaths

now i haven't analyzed it much yet but just a quick look shows how far behind we are on DPS. This is mostly gear i think but a part of it might be just bad DPSing. I was playing my rogue in that log and you can see that i was 3rd on the damage meter but my gear on the rogue is far behind my paladin, i was combat dagger spec wich is a good raid spec but horrible for killing those flairs seeing as i had to get behind them to get the backstabs in and it is hard to keep the Slash and Dice up.
Now if you compare it to the other combat logs you will see that you need in average about 3k DPS for a kill and 3.5k for a very smooth kill. that is about 500DPS over 5persons with the 2tanks doing 500DPS together. Now we weren't that far from that on the last try with sheepher a solid 200 over the DPS needed while puekie above it on the first try so guessing mana problems reduced his DPS alot but he only needs a little better gear i think. Not sure what caused the DPS jump up for Lucian on the second try but he also only needs some gear i think and same can be said about me seeing as i am still wearing blues for lvl63 in some slots.
Basicly on the last tries it was like we thought only lack of gear on the DPS also we needed even better DPS from the DPS seeing as we had 3tanks instead of 2 making the tanks need 1k DPS among them 3 instead of 500 between 2. The advantage of Sheephers DPS was lost to lack of DPS from the druids.
Now without having stats from other runs and tries yet it is hard to say but if we could get a group with 2 of the tanks(preferably 1 of each class) 3healers and Sheepher, Lexander, Othbarty, Vanguish and Theoline we should be able to do it. Lucian, Peukie and my rogue should also possibly have the DPS needed though some gear upgrades would be better first.
BTW let me know if you can see the correct names or not(for referance if you can't see the correct names. Spiritus had higher effective healing and Shadowspell had higher DPS both tries)
hmm... Gorion told me i had 30% overheals... weird...
but i tried to lover my overheals a bit more the 2nd try tough...
You have 28% overheal when you look at the full report. you can split the report into Trash and boss tries
Will be posting a full log with a sync of Bob's log later on.
Interesting statistics Tenilia! They kinda tell you absolutely all there is :)
About the tanks, you're probably right that two instead of three would help loads. About the DPS, I could at least say for myself (don't know about Shadow) that I haven't really been working on my cat gear at all - since I finished the exams I've only been going for those quests that give tanking gear, and getting gems and enchants for all that. So there is probably some DPS to gain there as well if I put some effort in.
About the combat log - when I typed /combatlog yesterday, will WoW keep logging to that file, or does it stop when I log out so I have to start the logging again with the same command next time I want it?

.....
Ah, that explain it.. was healing sheepy while doing aoe on thrash.. spamming big heals..
bdw, were do i find the log you need teni?
The log is saved in Wow Directory/logs/Wowcombatlog.txt
I don't think it will keep logging after you logout but typing it again will also stop the logging. Also for the next run you have to rename/delete the file or it will just add to the file.

Feral cat gear isnt a priority for druids, if you have a resonable set you should do ok for what is asked of you, there are some nice cat items in kara though.
Teni - positioning made a massive difference on the second try. We tanked the Curator closer to the group, and it meant I was multishotting the curator and the flare. Hence the dps jump.
Also, I tended to fire the trinket slightly before the evo and then empty everything during it - it meant I had max dps the second evo started...
actually seeing as Shadowspell PvPs alot i think he has relativly good Cat gear. An Arena Piece and some honor items.
Btw Teni - I'd like to think I have the dps to win this fight. I did 30k more damage in the fight than the hunter in the third list. Add another 30% of time to that figure, and Lucian is holding his own ;)
