Why do you want to join SOG? well for along time a go when i was a commander in sog, i enjoyed my life as a holy priest, i had a hunter aswell and i remember thouse days me whining in gchat if donnie could take my deamon down in winterspring, the old times where RG2 made pregress in BWL and the time spi liked ponies. well the times are kind ower but now im BACK!!! now with fury power of my fish in offhand and a plate head with a pink tabbad and a miningpick in offhand..
oh! why i want to join... ehrm..
well first of all i want home.. back to my old home where i have my old friends
secound im getting depressed evrytime some n00b asks me out on a date, and in the end he wants me to join his crappy guild weith 2 member himself and his bank alt. lol
well i feal that the time has come for me to get back home...

Well, back in my SoG days i was known as Clawhammer (hunter) and Clawline (priest) and now since my brother have hijacked my account with my Druid Skinkie, then i ninjaed his with his warrior.. so now im playing DPS warrior, (wee all remember the old nekkid fury warrior keltor) well this is keltor junior :) or well the toon is hehe..
what can i bring.. well becide my imba expertice my killing my self few times in randowm groupes, or running nakkid arround in shattrath, im pretty much an ordierry nightelf with long ears and funny skin..
i do not have menny gold but i have a sexy body that sheepy wants :) :)

he aims to raid though, as dps, i told him it will be rare to get into a 10man, if he even manages to. and he seems "ok" with it

i remember claw.. clawline and some other char.. was in RG2 i think.. and a lot in ZG... my wote is yes. might get another sight of someone else got info to add..
I played with Yrthal in a PUG today and he was a nightmare ninja pulling all the time grr. Nice enough guy but damn he needs someone to control his impatience.

I remember Claw (from his character Clawhammer and Clawline (and perhaps some more Claws as well)) as a fun and positive guy. Don't have any experience with him from raids, as he bas RG2, but those few runs I remember with him in various instances are positive.
We'll see soon enough how much the raiding matters for him, as he won't get into any raids during his initiation period. So I don't see that as a problem.
I would say the same as Gorion, neutral vote, but because of his brother (Yrthal, which I vote yes for), it leans over to a yes here as well, as only inviting one of 'em would seem a bit weird...

My first guess would be that it was a very bad try to be funny in some way. But what happened prior to this? Did he say anything else to you first, or did you talk to him or something? Cause it would be very strange if this just came like a bolt out of the blue with no "reason"...

My guess would than be:
He heard his brother got an invite, and wondered why he hadn't gotten any answer yet - which I guess is natural, as they submitted their applications about the same time (think even Claw was before Yrthal).
Than instead of just asking, he tried to make a funny comment, which didn't really succeed. This doesn't make him a bad person, as I highly doubt he meant to hurt you in any way or show disrespect - it only shows that he ain't the best to see what situation allows for what kind of jokes.
Give him an invite - but make it clear to him that that kind of language which he showed you is totally unacceptable, and that he will be watched closely during his initiation period.
