Title: A formal Introduction
Post by: John_Rees on June 29, 2007, 11:53:01 AM
Hello everyone,
I'm a brand new member of DMT forum and I thought  it only proper that I introduce myself.
My name is John Rees … if you hadn’t guessed already.
I’m 36 and live in Kent, UK
I drive the XRT
I use the G25 running 720 degree steering, H shifter Clutch no blips or aids but I have moded my pedals and made them 1.5 inches longer for better control.
Some of the DMR team already know me (cough) but none of you have seen me flat out yet… so I thought I’d post a single lap of AS North from standing start.

Bare in mind I did not know this circuit and as you race it a lot I thought I better get an hour in this morning and this is what I started to manage.
Of course I’m much faster on a flying lap but I thought I’d leave that for wheel to wheel encounters.

I am a clean racer and I do respect others “while racing” ( joke for BEN ) so I’d like the same in return.

I’m a CTRA Silver license holder but I got there is about 10 days and was going strong for gold until the CTRA servers went down for the X patch upgrades, CTRA is still down and that’s how I stumbled/bumped head first into DMR.

Anyways I guess I’ll see you about as of Monday – Thursday evenings next week or online in the day if the server is up.

P.S if you have some time to kill I challenge you to beat my time set here from standing start.

Say hi if you see me and introduce your self.

Johnny

And a formal welcome to our forum. Y'know, I've a feeling we'll get on just fine. :D  Just to clear up one tiny misconception, we don't restrict ourselves to one car or track. We try to keep it alive by changing comboes every week, usually by mutual consent. But this week being left on my own on Ventrilo :flirty:  I have made the decision all on my own.
Fern Bay Gold. UFR and XFR, 15 lappers in the week and 45 laps on Thursday.

The server is ALWAYS up but during the day it's a bit 'tumbleweedy' :tumbleweed:  8pm is average kick-off time. See you on track.  :thumbsup2:

Welcome Johnny.

I'll leave it to someone else who cares about laptimes to take you up on your challenge. :flirty:

Me? I'm more than happy to enjoy the close racing in that area just about visible in your rear view mirror. :D

I never work on laptimes, it's all about survival for me.
