Min Spec for half Life 2: Good News!
Gabe Newell in an interview, states

This is an opinion that is not original but one that I subscribe to. Minimum specs are there simply to flog more games to a greater range of punters. However, most of those punters will not see all the game has to offer unless you have at least twice the minimum There will be much disabling of features etc. The swines!
