Title: Steam error
Post by: Ally on July 04, 2007, 06:42:10 PM
I keep getting this error after i have used hammer and sdk and i compile my map to test it, and once i try to open cs:source it pops up with this little message: (http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/8522/steamerror2av5.jpg)

So, if i still want to play, i try and restart steam but the message comes up again as i click cs:source, so every time i have to restart my pc to play cs:s after using SDK. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's not a major problem, but it can get quite annoying. :g:

I'd just try to reinstall SDK if i was you, unless you have lots of textures and settings saved. Right click on it and select delete local content, then find the folder and delete it.

Could this thread (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=5504&highlight=steam+error+game+unavailable) be of any help?

Correct 1 Bob. Get out of Steam completely. Then delete BLOB-file. It seems to help for several Steambuggerish things...

I've tried deleting the blob file, but the error message still popped up again. I also tried resetting the game configurations through source SDK but that hasn't seemed to work either.

Go to here Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\ and delete the sourcesdk and sourcesdk_content folders.
