Option 1: es I will attend on my own
votes: 4
Option 2: es I will attend with my partner
votes: 3
Option 3: o I cannot attend
votes: 18
Well let's do Saturday 8th September then.
So, BBQ will be held at my home on Sat 8th September and will start at 12.00pm (noon) through to whenever we decide to stop (last time this was at about 4.00am Sunday morning I think). Partners can attend too - my wife has to have someone else to chat to ok!
Food & Drink:
I'll supply the food and there will be a decent stock of drink there, but if you want to bring any food or drinks along then please do, I am sure it will be a case of the more the merrier! If you would like a specific food or drink available then please let me know in advance and I'll do my best to have it available. Before anyone asks, the infamous bananas cooked in rum, butter, chocolate and brown sugar will be there in copius quantities again!
Accommodation:
Several local hostelries can put you up for the night, or there is room in the garden for some tents to go up. In addition there is space on the lounge floor if needed. I'll try to post some details of local motels later today when I have their details!
Travel:
Rail: Milton Keynes Central is the closest rail station.
Car: Head for Junction 14 of the M1 - I live about 3 minutes from that junction.
Bus: there is a bus station just off J14 of the M1.
If you're coming in by bus or rail and need a lift from the station then let me know in advance and we'll see what can be arranged, otherwise it's a short cab ride to my home.
If the weather is lousy then we'll see if we can get a big awning set up for the day.
If you are interested then vote in this thread so I can have an idea of numbers. Should be a totally non-gaming experience so do NOT plan to drive back the same night!
TL.
Excellent, I must attend this one. Whatever date you decide I shall do my best to be there :yahoo:

Sounds good, put me down for this. I'll see about bringing some bbq steaks as my brother in law is a family butcher :dribble:
I can't come.

Sorry I'm out too.
Moving house in a month or so. Will have foreseeable weekends packed with fun-filled activites such as visiting Bluewater, John Lewis, Ikea, Ilva, magnet, yada yada
PEN
Would like to join once but unfortunatly quit busy at work (no holiday).
BTW; I've heard they have some really good raveparties in your neighbourhood...:norty:
I'd love to make it but I will be in Hungary for a conference with work.
Sorry, too close to a deadline for me.
won't be able to make it, family commitments.
Have a good un:)
All things being equal, we'll be there. :) I think the Hilton will have forgotten Arja's escapade by now. :norty:
I would like to come along too. I haven't got a partner so i'll be the lone ranger :).
Would love to come but i imagine that a screaming month old would not be pleasant.
If she is anything like me she will be a wingy cow. :D
Sorry TL. That's my son's bday w/e..
Oh, a*sebiscuits! (Racers will know what I mean)
I'll be in Spain, on the ALL-expenses paid weekend that my Mrs received from her employers as a performance award:worshippy:

Sorry to miss out.

'fraid I can't make it either. Although thanks for hosting it in the first place.
We're expecting our first-spawn to put in an appearance mid-August. So I doubt we'll be going anywhere much for the first few weeks post-launch.
probably b in a tent then!
Come on chaps, Letsby Avenue. A good time is guaranteed. :yahoo: I tried to vote again just to get the numbers up.

I spoke to Pete(Armitage) this morning to see if he was up for a mountain bike ride. Of all the lame excuses he could have come up with he chose the "Mrs. Armitage's waters broke at 1:30am and I didn't get back to sleep until 4am. Now we're waiting for the contractions to start" old chestnut.:eyebrow:

Agreed :). A very nice bbq and thanks again for inviting us all. I think Oldbloke took some photos for the guys who didn't go to have a look at :D.
We second that. Top banana TL. :thumbsup2: Thanks very much. :D
Glad you all had fun.
You'll be pleased to know that traipsing around IKEA for a few hours getting ever such exciting stuff like lampshades made me about ready to slit my wrists.
next year maybe :)

Aye it was a good one, despite the weather being only 'passable'. Much fun was had and some fine conversation to put the world to rights. We even managed to demolish an immense quantity of beer.
TL.
Yup, was a great day. Thanks for being such a fantastic host :yahoo:
Yep great day. The band was a bit young but very good, and the synchronised geese flyby was impressive, I have no idea how TeaLeaf managed to set that one up?
