'Lo all, I was just wondering if there was an easy (IE I don't have to buy a new motherboard, or something) fix for the 'Client Dropped By Server' error that sometimes comes up when I join a server, forcing me to keep retrying until it lets me through (This will take 5 or 6 times typically, which is especially a pain when the server is passworded, or when using things like Tournament.com, which only give you 2 chances to connect). And when I say 'sometimes' I really mean 'usually' to 'consistently'.
Need help!

Two things you can try:
1. Do the classical "close steam and delete the registryblob file".
2. While in steam from the steam menu select "File -> Change User" and then log on again.
What Sadako said and what's up with your sig?

You mean the fact that I'm called 'Icehawk' in WoW? Yeah. Believe me, Icehawk was my first character on WoW, and I created him way before meeting Icehawk in dMw.
And don't worry, I'll change it soon, as I'm currently concentrating on other characters (who will be a higher level than (my) Icehawk pretty soon, no doubt).
Anyway! To Dr Sadako - Change User isn't going to work, I know this simply because I do it so much anyway (I have to do this whenever I update/install a mod).
However, I've never tried deleting this 'registryblob' file. Where would I find it?
EDIT: Do you mean ClientRegistry.blob ?

yes. :)
That's the one. As typed before, deleting the Blob-file and restarting Steam solves loads of problems. It's been allready typed over and over as a suggestion to solve any problem with Steam.
About the sig thing; Ah okay, but your sig is to big anyway. :narnar:
