i wish i had your problems when i was young :narnar:
i think the wii is the best. its something totally new and it looks like a lot of fun to play games with this technique. i dont know if there are a lot of games nor if theyre a lot of good games, but the principle looks great. i would buy this one for sure.
by the way, what are the prizes for them? im sure your dad wants to know that also. :flirty:

i just looked up in ther internet:
the wii is 250 euro, the xbox is 400 and the ps3 is 600!
600 euro is a lot of money, because there is only better graphics compared to the ps2... i guess. and maybe in 1 or 2 years there is a ps4 anyway?

i find console rather dull to play on, but the Wii makes it awsome fun, Wii sports is something i could get addicted to FAST! tried it out for a few days, my god i love bowling on it or Baseball! WOAH that grand fun!

I'd go for a Wii too, but i've stopped getting consoles after the gamecube. The Wii seems like hard work (:narnar:) but fun. The Wii has the worst graphics out of the three, PS3 is ridiculously priced and the Wii was outselling it about 6 (think it was 6 ^^) to 1 in Japan. The Xbox360 is a mix between the other two consoles - better games than the PS3, but better graphics than the Wii. I'd still go with a Wii personally though as i've always had Nintendo as my favourite console company.

Wii is the most fun (my little bro has one and an Xbox 360). I haven't tried the PS3 but most of the games are out on 360 aswell. The Wii is cheaper too so you should be able to haggle in some games too, or the extra controllers you'll need.

How about a new computer or some upgrades? Consoles do a limited number of tasks pc's do just about everything.

Can't really say but here's something that might be interesting on the Xbox 360;

I'd go for a 360, there's some pretty cool games on it, and the graphics are good too.

Damn you all...   :ranting2:

I just went to the supermarket to get some milk and it cost me £180 more than I was expecting.

Milk                    Â£1.09
Nintendo Wii     £179.99
Pears                 £0.89

Still, it's just over two hours old and I've already got it on the internet and hurt my arm playing baseball.

I always said I wouldn't get a console because I had the PC, but the Wii and its control system just makes it that little bit special and everyone who has one seems to love it.

Which includes me now as well.

Impulse buying is the way forward. If I planned everything I bought through I'd probably have very little stuff, but have loads less fun. I would have impulse bought a Wii a while back but my little bro got one so while we're both back from uni I've full access.
He's a bit of a console fan, which is cool because I get his hand downs, like a PS2, Xbox and Gamecube. Just have another couple of years and I'll join this elite group of Wii owners.

I thought the same.. Consoles ftl and computers ftw.. but after testing a Wii in shop on Strøget in Copenhagen the other day I was hooked.. I am most likely gonna buy one at some point soon..
Only problem I can come to think of is that the current telly I got in my apartment is rather.. erhm.. outdated.. as in it doesn't even have a Scart stick..
But I can connect it to my computer or mintor, right?

Is that possible? Connect to a computermonitor?
Otherwise, if someone can take 1 to the LAN so I can have a look...

It's possible, but not sure how the Wii would work with it. You can directly plug the xbox360 into a computer monitor with a new cable you can buy, but I'm not sure if the Wii has it, I'd check but I'm lazy. If it doesn't there are boxes you can buty to run consoles on your computer monitor, they take inputs from s-video, s-composite and the phono audio channels generally. And varry in price between £10-£60 and you get what you pay for.

hmm ok.. If it aint good with computer monitors Ill have to buy a new television aswell.. and I guess Id have to go 32" or so, just to be sure
Can't imagine myself playing on a 12" for some reason :g:

Why not ask for the wii and an x-box instead of the ps3.:norty::norty:
It almost the same price as the ps3 :g:
